Repair your unravelled mesh shower sponge loofah 

I love RU-vid - my shower puff came apart this morning - now it's fixed THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

Thank you. It would have been nice to see a close up of where you put the string after the zip tie.

The zip tie does look significantly more secure than the string/rope that they are usually made with. But like others said: I imagine that zip tie is bound to scratch skin up. Well.... at least if you leave the cut end the way it was as I can't imagine the fabric would always cover it enough. See, you can get it even closer by taking a knife to it instead of scissors and cutting it flush so you don't have those exposed corners. Then maybe file it if need be if there are any exposed bits left to get it as flush as possible. There might also be a way to tie the hanging string/rope around that bit to cover it, though I'm not sure because I'm not sure if there's a way to make it stay in place.

Tried a couple other methods before achieving success with yours. Instead of a ziptie I used a square knot with an extra half knot to secure it.

The folding technique is great! but I suggest a clear rubber band instead of a cable tie. ^^"

Leaving the cable tie is a bad idea unless you’re trying to add some extra stimulation to wake yourself up in the mornings

It definitely works but I can imagine cutting my thigh with the zip tie. I think using a thick type of thread would be more ideal. Just wrap it a couple times and tie it really tight. Or just TOSS IT and buy a new loofah. 😅
