Man, that was a blessing like Fitch said. Someone had told me the tri stage paint for my "good car" was like $1200/gal (or something ridiculous like that) for all the related materials. That's why there's still a spot on my bumper where the paint peeled off. haha
Love watching your spray technique. Starting at the bottom makes sense now. Thanks for all the helpful tips and your reviews of tools of the trade. Keep up the great videos.
@@UndergroundPaintKing You're working with people. What you consider 'paying the bills', may not match the 'worth it' for a body and paint job to some folks. All the same in dentistry. My mother was an upholsterer of fine furniture. Projects came in that were unexpected and repaired as we could handle them. I was 5 yrs old, running a walking-foot machine making cording. Can't imagine another way of life.
@@UndergroundPaintKing Yessss sirr well said, plus that work will catch someone else's eyes and having them askin questions because of your work, like my folks say a good name will take you a long way, and yess sirr your welcome brother 💪🏾💯 many blessings to you and yours🙏🏾🔧‼️
You already giving them a deal and then the customer ask you Man can you do it for $200 and then you be like man do you want another bullet hole in your car 😁😅 great job champ 🏆 That would have easily been $1,200 at my shop You sure bless him on that one. 🙌🏼
This is the true OG here. The title is great but the best part is that this is not the first bullet hole video for UPK. Keep up the good work brother. 1 suggestion I have (not this video) is when you do small compressor videos, please add some music and turn down the background compressor noise a little. The video quality is usually good but the compressor noise is a turn off.
Thanks Scrappy, I appreciate you and I actually use to play music and people complained and wanted to hear the compressor, so I’ll try to find a happy medium 💯
This is why I watch you brother !! Keep helping people out and even some people have nice trades for stuff as well. Love how you just make things easy common sense.
@UndergroundPaintKing for sure brother I do the same thing out here as well !! Always try to help community not enough of that going around these days. The ones who do help out though know where it's at!!
@@UndergroundPaintKing I'm use to it but dam. 4th of July and New Year's Eve You got to walk around with hard hats on them bullets be dropping down out of the sky. I know my boy 🤣🤣
Every time I work on a car with bullet holes in it, I'm thankful I don't live in an area where that's likely. Interesting about starting at the bottom, and it makes sense. I always started at the top in case I drag my shirt on the car or something, I won't drag it on wet paint. Always a lot of different ways to do anything! Nice work!
That came out great ,I saw a rock chip on my friends black car ,and went through the clear base and the primer was white wonder why the base are not made the same color ,so when this happens you can't barely see it now im not a painter, im just thinking
@@UndergroundPaintKing oh I forgot to ask also. On a fresh paint there no need for compound and polish after 60 days if the paint good right? Just a glaze, sealant and wax right? After you clay it of course
Yes sir looks nice 👍 what clear do you like using. I’ve been using finish line one fc720 lately.I like to try something else looking for the flat finishs I can get off of the gun. See ya
your videos are always top notch good job Bro on that paint job. Q; if you are painting Metallic paint can you do panel to panel or does it have to be start from the front to all the way back.
🔥 I painted 4 20 inch rims with 2 coats of single stage at about 30psi. I used a full 60ml or 20oz for this. Do this sound normal? I was thinking the cup that came with the gun filled to capacity would go a lot further. But the rims turned out great
@@UndergroundPaintKing some houses on auction are cheap. Regulations stuck. Here you fix a bedroom and bath you can move in for renovation. When I looked into moving out there to live by my sisters they said home needs to be done Auth final inspection before I could move in. But some near Detroit 20 to 40K. Even some warehouses for 60K or so.
Hello UPK, Quick Question, I want to paint an engine bay of 1991 300zx, this will be my first time doing it using the Fuji Turbine Sprayer I had mentioned in one of your other videos. Could you kindly tell me what quantity of material you think I would need, For example, Paint, Clear, Primer and Sealer. My builder took the motor out and I thought this would be a perfect timing to test paint something myself. Best Regards, Bobby
My first ever truck was grandpas it had a bullet hole in the drivers door from my grandpa shooting at a deer and hit the truck instead. All my friends thought it was cool. 😂😂😂😂
make a video on taping i literally suck a taping and thats whats making my job so trash! the door jambs mess me up everytime! and the hood of the car for some reason everywhere else im fine especially if i take off the mirrors and headlights but if i got to leave mirrors on my taping is an absolute mess/
It really depends on the material you’re using and if you’re spraying under the hood as well, I would say that you would be safe at a pint 1/2 of base to paint a hood
Hey UPK i got a question when you welded the patch over the hole i noticed that you didnt weld it solid all the way around. Could that cause the filler to crack over time?
