Repairing a broken food processor 

A friend's food processor no longer works! So we will try to diagnose the problem and fix it… 👇
Again the culprit is a MKP capacitor which acts as the power supply for the control circuit. These parts constantly under tension end up dwindling over time, all the more reason to unplug the devices when you are not using them.
It's a shame to put so much electronics into something simple where a dimmer and a bit of ingenuity can suffice, as was the case with first-generation devices, which are still working after more than 50 years!
We cannot really speak of planned obsolescence here because the device is 10 years old, and the design does not call into question the failure of this part.
