The iconic Lionel no. 6473 Horse Transport Car (also known as rodeo car) was made from 1962-1966 and then brought back for a "swan song" year in 1969. In this episode, J-Man couldn't resist buying such a car during the 2022 Pensacola Railfest Show and Sale. Thankfully his dad John Long Silver knew just how to fix such a car when it had a badly damaged truck. This how-to video offers tips and tricks for repairing such a car so that it can be enjoyed once again for generations to come. Little known facts about the Lionel Horse Transport Car are also shared toward the end of the video.

I found one of those horse cars in HO scale. Pretty neat. I also live pretty close to a freight yard for the Canadian National and for some reason they still use a caboose for short freight hauls to the next town.

I like your videos, just subscribed! I like your style. A fairly new retiree. I prefer the older trains, Lionel, Marx, Flyers, etc., the ones that are more affordable, decent shape, and fixable. That's half the fun, rescue, fix, oil and repurpose. New ones are nice also, just too expensive for my budget. KEEP up your real to life train videos! Take Care.

I can see your camera man in the mirror. If you're a fan of the 1950s TV show HIGHWAY PATROL this happens all the time. A reflection of the camera tripod on the side of the black patrol cars. Don`t put a Marx Truck on a Lionel, the couplers do not line up. Forgive me, but a clean work bench makes life so much easier. At 75 a retired electrician, and no longer restoring Studebaker autos, I turned to reviving my dad`s Lionel collection. along the way I got the Marx Train bug. KEEP ON PLUNKING! A late note, I can`t find "MY WORLD 67".

Try it this way "myworld67". I am 79 and trying to keep my 1950 Plymouth on the road. I traded my 1949 Studebaker for a Ford 8n tractor which ran great for years but now needs help. At 79 there is not much I can do on the large stuff so I focus on the trains. My small workbench was cluttered so I built the larger one thinking it would stay organized and neat but it turns out that I am the problem. My son J Man (seen in the mirror" produced this video. His channel "Metal Sharxs" is all about the hobby of metal detecting. On my channel you will find a number of videos on Marx projects and also videos on the Moultrie car chow.
