Repairing the Kioti Tractor Gauges | Update on the Issue

After working on the row of pine trees and all of the vines, my tachometer and engine temp gauge stopped working. I was convinced a vine had pulled a connector loose, because the vines had also pulled a hydraulic hose loose. However, that was not the case. After cleaning the connections and circuit boards, the gauge cluster started working again! It appears the connectors may have been dirty and corroded enough to cause a bad connection and the timing of it was just a coincidence. I wasted some time troubleshooting it, but at least the Kioti is back in service again! Thanks for watching!

Don’t think I ever want to own a Kioti. Seems like you spend an extraordinary amount of time working on it. What’s your favorite tractor brand?

I actually like the Kioti brand a lot. You get a lot of tractor for the price. They are all going to have their issues sooner or later. The only complaints I have about Kioti are that the plastics (cup holder, and housings around switches) seem to get brittle and they are known to have issues with a Safety Start Module. Other than that, I think Kioti's are very mechanically sound. I also like John Deere a lot. Every one I have ever used seems like quality. I'm sure though most of the other tractors brands are good as well. The nice thing about the main brands (Deere and Kubota) is that IF you do have an issue, the problem is probably well documented because so many of them were sold, the parts are readily available online, and resell value is better.
