I have some practice working on very fine chains in my career but this one was the thinnest I have ever worked on and needed some careful consideration.
Online training for practicing jewellers covering safe use, handling and storage of gas cylinders.

I work a lot with that size chains, but in steel, covered with 18k gold. I love the options it gives me as a designer and how it looks around a neck. Like no jewelry jewelry. My husband believes I am working with air when he sees me as he can’t even see the chain😂. Good work on repairing the chain!

oh my gosh! I thought it was just my crappy jewelers skills!!! I repaired that exact chain but the repair was in the chain not at the clasp! it was so difficult!! I did manage to get it done but it's not pretty.... I wear it tho! I did it for myself for the experience n felt really bad about my skills. thanks for making me feel better seeing I'm not the only one that has a hard time w that repair! love your videos! thanks so much for sharing!

Christ, I've seen razor blades thicker than that! Good on you champion, lovely work! If that chain had turned up on my workbench, I'd have handed my notice in 😅.

So good, thank you, from AU. I want to shorten a snake chain, never done it before, I hope it doesn't turn into an Opps.

If you cut it to length then re solder the end ring like I did here it shouldnt be too troublesome

"have you seen anything as small as that?" sadly yes, all the time almost everyday lol. smaller chains break more or wear out faster so they need more repairing typically. i aint got much to say tho as for how one does it as long as it works and is properly aligned
