Analysis of variance with repeated measurement tests whether there are statistically significant differences in three or more dependent samples. The one-factor analysis of variance with repeated measures is the extension of the t-test for dependent samples for more than two groups.
In the t-test for dependent samples, we examined whether there is a difference between two dependent groups. If we want to test whether there is a difference between more than two dependent groups, we use the analysis of variance with repeated measures.

Great summary video, but one small mistake in the assumptions. The sample points must be independent not dependent.

I have four pieces of data taken equally over 12 weeks for my participants, with an experimental group receiving intervention A and B, and control group receiving just intervention B. Is this test appropriate?

hello, what test should I be doing for this? I ran a repeated measures ANOVA for two groups (indoor and outdoor walking) at 3 different time points. my assumption test for the last time point of both indoor and outdoor were below 0.05? what am I supposed to do from here?

Of course, strictly speaking, pain intensity should be handled as ordinal and not metric values. Nevertheless thank you for your great explanations.

yes that's right! I assumed that the pain perception is asked over several questions and then one usually assumes metric scale level. But that's true of course, that can be questioned!!! Thanks for your feedback! Regards Hannah

Madam , if male n female are intervened by a nutrition therapy , and data is collected before and after 1 week, 3 week, 6 week ( 4 times total from male n female) , can we apply paired t test or not which test we should apply ? thanks

Yes that should fit, you still have the gender factor though, so you have to use a two factor analysis of variance with repeated measures! Regards Hannah
