Good video. It helped a lot. There is a piece of ductwork under the dash below the glovebox that is held on by 2 screws. If you take it out as well, then you can work from underneath and actually see most of what you are doing, instead of doing it all by feel.

I was able to replace the actuator today using this video. It took me about 30 minutes, but it was definitely an exercise in patience. You can do it, but take your time. I was able to do it using the 7/32 socket with just the joint socket attached to have something to hang onto and got it loose enough to unscrew with fingers. I had to fiddle a bit to line up the screw holes on the install of the new motor, but finally got it to line up. Again, a little frustrating since you can’t see, but take your time and you can do it👍. Thanks again for the great video!

Excellent video. So what actually fails? A bad ground? Can I use zero ohm dialetric grease? I would suspect the gears are binding due to play. I will be taking mine apart. @@DIYwithMichaelBordersTook a good hour. Used a thumb drive purchased from harborfreight for $5. Not sure I could have done it without. Tore the crap out of the skin on left arm...and that was with a protective sleeve on it. I would recommend to those doing this, put a small towel in the space below the unit. That way if you drop a tool or screw the towel will catch and you won't have to take more 'stuff' apart. Also, I had to plug the new unit in to the power cord to get the splines of the white post to match the old unit so I could install and match to the holes it fits into. Looking at videos of the inside of this thing I agree with Michael, you probably don't want to go twisting the white post. BTW this was a 2021 and part still looks the same...

I don’t have the flapping noise issue, but the AC stops coming out of the vents after a while. Sometimes I can shut off the AC and turn it back on and it resovles, but soon it doesn’t resolve. The AC is blowing, I can hear it but only feel it very slighty. It’s been suggested that this piece may the the culprit. Anyone have this issue?
