This car is a 2014 Honda Civic EX and has 130,000 miles.
I got an P0171 error code, which means that the air-to-fuel ratio is too lean. The engine was receiving too much air into the combustion chamber and not enough fuel. The short term fuel trim was in the positive double digits (10% to 15%) trying to compensate for all the air leaking through the cracked hose (right after the mass air flow sensor).
While you are doing this job, I recommend to clean the throttle body and the mass air flow sensor. You can find the links below.

Thank you very much for your feedback. When I started, I asked myself what videos I like the most when trying to fix my car and they were the ones with no unnecessary music and less taking… right to the point. This is why I tried different styles and love these ones with no talking. Please consider subscribing to my channel or a $thanks. It will help me on doing more videos like this.

So how has it been? It looks like it's not oem. Just wondering if oem vs aftermarket for this specific part make any difference.
@gotitdone
@gotitdone 9 дней назад
@@jeddrickpablico7352 it had been perfectly fine. As long as the air is confined within it and it doesn’t crack you should be fine. Do u have any tips on getting the air intake hose to fit snug onto the engine air filter box when putting everything back? Im having a hard time getting the intake hose to fit flush onto filter box
@gotitdone
@gotitdone 3 дня назад
@@simonl3788 make sure you unscrew the metal bracket far enough so it doesn’t apply any pressure at all. It happened to me that I thought it was loose enough but I couldn’t push it all when I realize it was still tight. In addition, you can put a very thin layer of silicone paste to help you slide it in. Please consider subscribing to my channel or a $thanks. It will help me on doing more videos like this. looks like these engineers need to have their licenses taken away, dam nightmare on all these models and years and the plastics and interiors turn to cracked dust or rubber glue after a few years... Engine is great and durable but everything else goes to 💩 lol
