Usefull video and great camera work. You should also check and regrease sliding pins. Glue isolates thread, and prevents from rust. It is much easier remove bolt when is glued than rusty one. I only think the blue medium glue is beter for this aplication. well done! greeting from Poland.

This missed out all the torque values, it would be useful to know.

Replaced discs and pads today. Very good tutorial. In only needed wrench 19 in stead of 17. Thx!

Nice clear video however I have never seen screws or bolts that clean or easy to undo 😂😂 after 100,000 miles in British weather and they don’t look like that😮 However the video is great unlike our weather

I hope the previous person hasn't used red threadlock like that before I start on mine at the weekend....

Half of what you did was fine. Missing is multi purpose grease and silicon grease and the demonstration on how you would use it. Medium strength is fine but to be honest if you want to replace the disc and pads in the future a good torque setting is fine. Also buy a windback tool as you will need it for rear brakes in the future. I have seen car mechanics use various ways for the pushing back of pistons and destroy the seal.

Good luck in future removing these bolts glued with red thread lock :)

What rear breaks should i buy for peugeot 308 t7? With sensor ring or without?
@AdrianDragan
@AdrianDragan Год назад
Hello. Buy brake discs with integrated ABS sensor ring.

Salut. Ce dimensiuni are discul? Mă refer în special la diametru pentru că am văzut că sunt doua tipuri
@AdrianDragan
@AdrianDragan Год назад
Salut.

You can remove the brake disc without removing the caliper carriers

That's an excellent video, thanks for posting it. But like others have mentioned... RED threadlock? you may as well weld them on! Use correct torque setting and no threadlock is needed.
@AdrianDragan
@AdrianDragan 3 года назад
You're right, I exaggerated using the red threadlock. But I don't think I'll ever open them again, the car is already old and almost ready for retirement :)

Hello there. How many mm should the front disc be for this vehicle? It is sold as 285mm and 302mm in my region?
@AdrianDragan
@AdrianDragan Год назад
Hello. The diameter of the brake discs depends on the engine of the car, I recommend going to an auto parts store to correctly identify the brake discs.

Great job my friend. Thanks. Bosch are original parts for Peugeot? And WD40 is for? 😁
@AdrianDragan
@AdrianDragan 4 года назад
Hi! The front braking system is developed by Bosch, the car came from the factory with Bosch pads and discs. The WD40 is good for loosening loose or rusty screws. Thanks :)

Hey Adrian. Nice vid. But next time try to steer the wheel in the direction you are operating. This is muchmuchmuch easier than with wheels alingned forward. You steer them and then alter the car. So nothing will happen. First altering and then steering seems too dangerous for me.

This has already been servised on brake pads none of the cars that i'we serviced have clean 13mm screws

Why did you brush the pre-applied threadlock off the new guide pin bolts, then reapply threadlock?
@AdrianDragan
@AdrianDragan Год назад
Hi. In the box with the new brake pads came only two screws for the caliper guide bolts, I had to reuse two other screws and put new locking solution on those old screws.

Great videos you make! Thx for that. Question. When do discs and pads need replacement?
@AdrianDragan
@AdrianDragan 5 лет назад
Hi, Your brakes may need replacing if you notice any of the following signs: *Squealing noise: Some squealing noise coming from the brakes is expected under normal driving conditions, depending on the cleanliness of your brakes, the materials used for your brake pads and the weather. However, a loud screeching sound is a warning that brake pads may need replacing. Some brake pads use a semi-metallic layer within the brake pad material or an external sensor designed to screech when the brake pad is due to be replaced. This screeching noise can be heard even when the brakes aren’t being used. If you wait too long at this point, the screeching noise will be replaced by a grinding noise which means the brake pads have worn down completely, and potentially can generate additional costs by damaging the brake disc. *Car pulling to one side: If your car feels like it is pulling to one side or the other while you’re driving, it could be a sign of worn out brake pads or that the caliper guide pins or piston is sticking. *Visual check: It’s a good idea to visually check your brakes regularly, for example every 10,000 miles (approximately 16,000 km). This is extremely important if your car doesn’t have sensors. You can visually check the brake pads by looking through the spokes of the car’s wheel. If less than 3mm of the brake pad is visible, then they need to be replaced. *Vibrations: If you feel your car vibrating as you brake, it is a sign that your brake discs might be abnormally worn or have suffered thermal damage following severe braking. How often do you need to replace your brakes? In general, there is no fixed interval for replacing your brakes, as the duration of the brake components much depends upon the vehicle as well as upon driving style. Braking can last up to 80.000 km or even more, but can be as low as 25.000-30.000 km in the case of heavy duty use. Your owners manual will have more information about the recommended intervals for brake replacements of your car’s make and model. It is important to note, if the discs are unevenly worn or badly scored, that it is recommended to replace your brake pads and brake discs at the same time. Thanks for your's videos are very useful! Someone know how much torque is needed to tighten the caliper bolts?
@AdrianDragan
@AdrianDragan 5 лет назад
Hi, thank you for your appreciation! I'm not sure but in the AutoData documentation these are the tightening couples: Front Brake caliper to carrier: 31 Nm Front Brake caliper carrier to hub: 33 Nm+45°

Can we put bigger brakes?
@AdrianDragan
@AdrianDragan 4 года назад
Hi. Theoretically, you can also put bigger brakes from Peugeot 308 with superior engines, but you have to change: calipers, caliper supports, brake discs, brake pads.

Torque settings for each and every bolt? Max torque wrench length you are able to use in a limited working space? Easy access without turning the wheel all the way? Also the rim bolts torque setting. Thanks
