/ @con_auto Is your #Honda #Odyssey #Slidingdoor not working as it should? Then let's replace the sliding door motor. This repair has a lot of small steps that will ensure no damage comes to your interior trim panels.
I live in MN. Ordered the whole motor and cable assembly (had clips and everything) online from Jim White Honda out of Ohio. They are a legit Honda dealership but sold the part for a couple hundred less than the dealership near me. After tax and shipping it was $422. None of the auto stores near me had this exact part or even just an aftermarket equivalent. I verified with Honda per my VIN, the part number I need. There have been some recalls and I didn't want to buy someone's used crap recalled part. Solid instructions though. Helped a lot. Thanks! The job would have been a little over $2k at the dealership, so getting it done for less than 1/4 of that is nice. And really in about as much time since I don't have to mess around with dropping the car off and picking up some other time.
Fantastic! I'm specializing in Honda sliding doors repair, but I do only 3rd and 4th gen (2005-2010 and 2011-2017) Now someone asked me to fix 2019. This video is very informative. Seems the job is even easier on this one comparing to 4th gen (3rd gen is the the worst). Now I need to figure out how to fix the cable motor. Thanks, man!
The motor and cable are one piece. I got the part from my local honda dealer. Suggest using oem parts as they last longer and have no issues after installing.
Hey can you help with a video on how to open the door my latch won’t open and door is stuck ! I don’t know if i need to the the motor or something with the latch i have a 2018 odyssey touring!
Thanks for the video. After fixing mine, the door closes and stay closed but the back of the door won't close all the way except I push it in. Any advice ?
Hey buddy I don't know how to message you but however I was going to see if you would have ever replace the sunroof motor in this car? I'm trying to get the headliner down in the front and I can't get it down because the two lights and the sunroof operator in the front will not pop down after I take out the two Phillips screws I'm stuck at this point by the way I figured out all the motors that operate the windows add this car have three screws mounting the motor to the regulator Honda did not put any threadlocker on these little bolts and they have caused a problem I have took all my window regulators out of all the windows on this van just like this one and put those three screws back in with threadlocker and torque them down and they all work perfectly now. I'm trying to get to the sunroof one because it melts the motor of the same way and I can't get the headliner down.
You need to remove the overhead handles and the sunvisors for the headliner to come down. Be careful as the headliner can easily become creased. Let me know if this helps you out.
Will do the problem I'm having is getting the light s and switches in the middle to coome down after I take out the two Phillips screws I'm stuck there I thought maybe I would be able to get a visual on the motor from there
