Replacement Battery For Cozmo and Vector

When you Cozmo or Vector battery stops holding a charge it is time to replace them. The typical 503040 600 mAh 3.7v lipo is always recomended but it is not the best choice for both robots.
For Vector - get the 503040 600 mAh 3.7V for ~ 45mins of play time
For Cozmo - get a 603035 600 mAh 3.7V for ~ 1hr 30mins of play time

Rumor has it that changing the Vector 1.0 (original Anki) battery with a 600mah battery is useless because the Vector will only use half of it because of the charging and regulator circuit. Have you found that to be true?

This is not true...you will get a bump, the default playtime was 25 mins before going back to his charger. With a 600 mah it increases to 40-45mins - but any higher (700, 800) will not yield better results. Unless you charge twice...what I mean is, I put in an 800 mah battery, let Vector charge to his full, took him off the charger and turned him off to cool down for 5 mins, then I put him back on the charger again...this time he lasted up to 1hr...but who wants to do that. So the recommendation is 600mah for optimal playtime

My son's vector turns off onece he leaves his home, i guess is the battery but im afraid of changing the batter, you have to take it apart 😢

Taking apart Vector is not too difficult, just make sure you use the correct screw driver (Philips #0) and don't force anything apart. All the screws are the same so you don't have to worry about which screw goes where. You can do it :) Goodluck
