I’ve learned a lot by watching your videos please keep showing more repairs even if you have to show one you’ve already done before it’s still good to know what you know so thank you very much I’m learning from your experience thank you very much
Instead of the jack..you only need a cap on the air line and start the truck to raise de air bags..use the leveling valve if you need to raise the suspension more...nice video..good luck
Man I am sorry I put one thumbs down by mistake. I really want to thank for your great videos you are amazing man. Thanks 🙏. Question are all the air bags the same or each truck has different sizes?.
I thought you were going to convert the truck to walking beam suspension for the smooth ride lol. The bags you took off were long in the tooth, you've got peace of mind now they will last the life of the truck.
9/16s ? Don’t you mean 5/8s and for future reference…. You can hook the two lines together and air the system up to get the bad bag out. No jack needed
Save for a few rentals I drove for a summer here and there, I didn't get my first assigned truck with air ride until 1994, it was a 1990 FLD, and I only had it for 7 months before it was retired and sold, then it was back to spring ride. My next assigned tractor was in 1999, a brand-new p.o.s. ovloV. It rode about the same as my old '89 FLC with the 40,000 lb Reyco spring suspension
Mr.Gordon I have to do the same thing to my 99 FLD 120 by any chance do you know the size of the airbag you installed I know it has been 2 years since this video
I don't know the part numbers but you can call any Freightliner dealer and give them your last 6 digits of your VIN and ask for the part number and price.
@@57bagre Power steering box, I have a leak in my 99 International and it seems like the seal is leaking but Im being told that that leak can't be fixed that I should change the whole box, what's your thought?
We used to replace the lower seal kit on the older rear wheel drive cars and pickups, the common procedure was to remove the pitman arm and crank the wheel hard to one side with motor running to blow the seal off the bottom. Didn't always work but when it did it would make a big mess. Just go to the self truck wash with a can of engine cleaner, 1st take a putty knife and clean off the worst of it at home, then pressure wash on the soap setting after following the directions on the engine cleaner. Now you will know exactly where it is leaking.
@@57bagre Thanks Gordon Im pretty sure its leaking from the front part of the steering box where the 4 screws are you can run your hand underneath and it comes back wet, Im just not sure what to do about it, replace the box or try and use a seal kit.
