Good project. Most boats need a stronger bow eye with the load spread out over a larger area. I generally make a SS metal backing plate as well as beef up the glass work in much larger area. That bow eye takes a beating whether it be pulling it on the trailer, bumping the dock etc, and anchoring. These are huge shock loads that need a very secure anchor point spreading the load over as much area as possible.
