replacing broken seat latch on a Volvo xc60

Filmed in vr180 for viewing on a virtual headset, thought it would be cool for DIY videos to be able to be viewed on our headsets for better viewing. The back latch of my Volvo xc60 2013 broke on both sides, after fixing one side decided to film the other and show others what I had learned. Hope this helps some people.

I got them straight through Volvo. overall the only difficult part was getting that latch to release, just takes messing around with it. definitely try releasing it on the new one first so you can see how it trips but really, jabbing a flathead in there and torquing it and twisting it until it gives

Everything else is working fine and my XC60 end of 2008 appears to have much better quality plastics that still feel very robust - Volvo cutting the corners in new models?

I appreciate this video. My issue is the cheapo plastic clips in my 13 Volvo XC60 snapped off while the seat stuck in position and locked. How do I get a tool in there to release the latch and fold seat down?

3:01 - Ok, I see this, but no clue how you're positioning the flat head screwdriver or where you're pointing it inside the latch. This close 🤏 to using a sledgehammer instead lol.
