WOW….thanks for the simplicity of doing this. Couldn’t figure out where you were going with the “big plastic bag.” Ingenious….I’m ready to get started…also grateful for the foam link. Took me a minute to find an easy/simple process. Thanks again…😊
Outstanding video! I am looking for one for a leather sagging couch with attached cushions and found yours. What a joy. I hope that you have found work.
Hi from the UK! Great video, gonna attempt to re-stuff two curved leather seats. The trick with the bag was genius! Hope you got through Covid OK and that Boomer is still helping you.
That’s how we get T.E.D. hose onto the legs of patients who have just had surgery or those who are bedridden to prevent blood clots. The plastic bag minus the vacuum…Just slip a bag on up the calf, slip a hose onto a foot, roll it on up the leg, pull the bag out from the hole near the toes, and voila! Never thought of using the same method for stuffing other things into small, tight places. Thanks!
At first I was sort of annoyed by all of your distractions because I just wanted just get the essential information, but then I just went with your flow and found it hilarious. Loved your honesty, tricks, and your dog, Boomer. Hope he had a good nap and certainly hope you found your next retail engineering role. Thanks for this video. I'm sure you saved me time and a few headaches!
We pay so much for sofas and after a few months there so rubbish I’ve changed my foam once and after 2 weeks they sank gain Can’t afford a new sofa so thanks for this I will do this . Thankyou
Than you! You saved my couch and life. I didn’t know about the thinner foam so I guess I’m not ready to do it yet. The good news is that I only have to do all of that twice😊
Thanks for the video. Really disappointed in our newer couch that we bought. Cushion just not holding up for amount we spent..your video gave me the confidence I need to tackle this project.
Great video! I have been looking for a video of how to replace the foam in my couch cushions…and came across you. Will definitely subscribe. Thank you!
Nice cushion redo! How can I do this for my attached cushions in my leather couch? They don't seem to be the foam cushions but something like a filler instead. I guess I'll have to open the thing up and look.
"Try not to cut through your kitchen table ( or the dog's head)" Mr Livelarge, you could easily get your own series on the TV - I found this v entertaining, and I even learnt a bit about cushion stuffing .
Yes. It appears they are. Fair warning. They are a small father and son operation and it may take a few days to get it shipped. Good luck with your project
How has this foam held up? Was looking on Amazon until you mentioned they were no good and it lasted like 3 months before it was horrible. My couches started sinking in after about 2months of just being brand new from a furniture place called exclusive furniture.
What kind of knife were you using. What brand…it looked really sharp. We used our old electric knife which had hardly been used. It did not work well. Thank you!
Thanks, the other day I was just thinking about my sofa cushion and that it was getting a little too soft right were I sit and how could I fix it. So I really appreciate the video it’s an answer to my prayers.
Beautiful job! Loved your tips & humor & music selection. Loved the title to include dummies - because that's what I feel like in this. Lol I have an 80s style wooden frame love seat and chair. A $40 bargain find. Frame and structure in excellent shape. But the orange plaid rough material on the 6 separate cushions and the foam has not aged as well. I can sew quilts and want so much to do new foam on our cushions and reupholstered with pet and kid friendly durable material. After watching this video - I feel I can do it now :-D Thank you so much for sharing to help encourage and motivate us dummies that we can do this too. Great video!
Retractable “snap-off” knife at Home Depot or Lowe’s and a retail (fixture) engineer used to make store fixtures and counters for brick and mortar stores. We are a dying breed unfortunately.. thanks for the kind words
that one slab cost about 109 plus shipping, BUT, that was 9 months ago and foam has skyrocketed lately. link for where i purchased is in my original comments.
Not Being a pro at this I think I could easily get that little extra in the cover using the vacuum trick. Final decision would be yours, I would recommend doing a bit more research. Good Luck with your project! thanks for the comment.
