Replacing that glass is going to do well with the storms we are having. The last thing you want is wind getting in there and smashing it to pieces. Great job Rose
Thank you for this, I need to replace loads and was very imitated by it but you made it look so easy and relaxed! Still worried about how to manage with one in the roof but you’ve given me the confidence to get started and the idea to buy some new clips.
I'm so glad the video has given you the confidence to replace your glass. The ones in the roof are just the same, only on a slight slope. You got this 🤩
Thank you x I was given a greenhouse. Thank fully it was in panels, had no clue how to.put one up. Finally figured it out, just need to do the glass now which thanks to this video, fingers crossed I can. Thank you again x 💖
4mm Clear twin wall polycarbonate is the way forward... Robust durable and SOOOO easy to cut and fit.. Good Stuff... BTW, LOVE THE BEE GARDEN!!! Well Done Rose! :-)
That's amazing!!! Honestly I have never seen how a greenhouse goes together before as we never needed one in Oz and the one we had here at my parents house was built like a conservatory with wooden frames. Thanks hun :D
@@rosesallotmentadventures9365 on international womens day, you have done one for the women 🤣🤣🤣, well done Karen. We are extending our own drive, we said we would give it a go, and you know what, its not that hard. Like you, just give it a go.
@@LorraineG123 that's fantastic! I think as our lives have become more pressured and work being longer hours/busier, more expectations of everyone, it has become more common to 'get someone' in to do a lot of handy man type jobs. I'm determined to show Rose she can do anything she puts her mind to 💚
@@rosesallotmentadventures9365 good woman Karen, we are building character of our adults of tomorrow, who will be the leaders of tomorrow, the ones who can grow their own, bake, do for themselves. I think some lost their way, but as the saying goes, monkey see monkey do. I hope that is happening in our home.
Looks like winter was tad bit brutal on the garden infrastructure. Cool video on greenhouse repair. Very best wishes for an excellent gardening year. Rob and Nat
Hi Rob and Nat thanks for dropping by. Yes we list about 6 panes of glass in total I think. Boy did that glass spread everywhere 🙈 Best wishes to you both, Karen and Rose
Your greenhouse looks gorgeous with the new glass. Well done Rose for fixing the clips 👩🔧 My dad is making me a walk in coldframe out of scrap wood and greenhouse panels(The UV PVC sort)...its nearly ready and I can't wait!
Thank you so much I suppose to fix my 4 broken glass to replace. I bought each 10€ just for this kind of job I suppose to give 50€ you save it thank u.
Good job! You all made that look so effortless. Mine has had a couple of missing sheets for err 4 years now, they are safety glass though so need it specially cut and slightly scared after having a shattering into pebbles incident trying to pop some back in! You've really done great with yours though and it looks really good.
Bless you, I can understand your reluctance! I wonder why yours shattered just trying to put it back in? Do you think it was a dodgy batch of glass? I was encouraged to fix ours as we like the warmth of the greenhouse this time of year and howling wind going through it wasn't exactly cosy!
@@rosesallotmentadventures9365 Oh it was a piece that was already popped out (the other side shattered doing that) so was already weaked and we dropped a corner on the paving. Like a comedy moment it just turned to glass pebbles. Lesson Learnt, next time put cardboard or something under or don't drop it... Definitely sounds lovely having it sorted.
Good video and that the Greenhouse glass is being replaced. I don't presently have a greenhouse but there's space for one. I would prefer a greenhouse but unfortunately it comes down to cost and in that case a cold frame is going to be cheaper but a greenhouse would be more practical.
Hi David. We were lucky that we inherited this one. We were also given a huge frame of a professional one we put on Rose's plot but I think that's going to get a polytunnnel cover as I dread to think what the glass would cost! 🙈
@@rosesallotmentadventures9365 I prefer being called David. It would be safer to have a polytunnel cover on the one on Rose's plot because I don't how windy it gets in your area but strong winds can smash glass.
@@davidthescottishvegan oh my goodness I do apologise. I have edited my comment. I must have skimmed your name and thought you were Dave's Allotment Garden, which is another channel 🤦♀️ I'll pay more attention in future!
May I ask where you got your springs and clips from? We are also in need of the tubing, that the glass sits on top of, on the sides. Cannot find the proper rubing here in Canada. Thanks in advance. Coreen
Hi there I am in the UK and I got ours from Amazon. Is there a hardware store or similar that might be able to match your tubing, or advise you of an alternative?
Hi, could you put a link up for the W clips. I have bought some but they do not fit. Looking at yours they look identical to the ones I need. Great video, very helpful.
Hello. I’ve just watched your video. We’ have the same greenhouse. Can you tell me the name of the manufacturer? We have réparer the main panés but can’t figure out how to repace the pane on the window that opens . Any advice? Many thanks, lona
We inherited the greenhouse so I'm afraid we don't know. Is there any labels on the frame? I would have a look at ours but we currently have robins nesting in there and can't get near it 🙈
Would you mind telling me the make of your greenhouse please as we have got one exactly the same from market place and could do with an idea on how to put it together. Thanks 🙏🏻
Hi Teresa The greenhouse was already here when we took over the plot, so I don't have any knowledge! I'm sorry I can't help further. Best wishes, Karen
@@rosesallotmentadventures9365 Thanks for replying I did think that might be the case but figured it was worth a shot also thanks you for doing your videos I really enjoy watching them.
