We use synthetic "Ruby" Sapphire (Al2O3) with hardness 9 as a window for UV and IR sensors. Magnificent stuff.

Hi Kalle! A question if I may. The Seitz jeweling tool I have has a small play when using the reamer holder. Is there a way of correcting that? The reamer holder moves ever so slightly when in the jeweling tool but enough to cause a misalignment.

Assuming a lower angle means increased friction, which I'm guessing is what's going on, would simply adjusting the lift angle until the amplitude is at its maximum give you the same result?

The watches have issues, according to syncrhonization theory, it may cause video issues as well., like back on time.

They are getting rare i'm afraid, you can search under Seitz on ebay or wholesale like Cousins UK, Boley DE, otto Frei and many more. We use often donor movements. If anything else fails you can make a (temporary) steel bushing untill you find the right ruby. Good luck. Kalle
