When Logan held the dog for the first time, you could see the pain in his eyes and that he wanted to cry. But he saw that he was on camera, so he couldn’t release his feelings. He literally fell in love with the dog at first sight. I understand how Logan feels. He wants a new companion but he doesn’t want to replace his previous best friend, Kong. Rest In Peace, Kong.

He is absolutely beautiful. Also you are not replacing Kong. Think about it like this... Even with human children, they advise you to have at least two children. Just incase, God forbids something happens to one of your kids you have the other to help ease the pain and to make you feel like you still have a purpose and didnt lose everything etc. So getting another dog could be the same. You said you were feeling lonely and probably very depressed from the hearbreak. So this could be a great decision for you and not in any way "replacing" Kong or being disrespectful to his memory. Kong will forever be loved and never forgotten. And will always have a place in your heart. And so will this new dog. But the new dog will never take that place from Kong. There is nothing wrong with getting another dog. I strongly believe that dogs, cats or pets, in general, are here for us. They make us feel way better. I am glad you have chosen to take this step.
