Try checking hv capacitor be carefull to discharge before handling it have a resistor 20k ohms value about 10watts connect it on both terminal of the capacitor be very carefull it has high voltage 1500 to 2100 volts hope this help keep safe if your not sure or in doubt ask assistance from somebody who knows about electric stuffs
You didn't discharge the capacitor. You're going to get people injured or worse by not telling them that the capacitor holds a lot of volts and is extremely dangerous
