I just picked up an Element that needs a engine and after watching your video and Eric the car guy, it helped determine the best way to take out the engine. I don’t have a lift, but removing the bumper and radiator, makes it look pretty easy to get the motor out through the front. Definitely the way to go. Thanks for showing your process.
Great Video!!!! This helped me decide weather it’s better to fix the high mileage engine I have or just swap it with a Japanese one. I’m going to go with the swap.
Hello! Impressive work! You know how to work that engine and put it back together. I am watching number of DYI Videos on working on my 06 Honda Element EX. 5 sped manual. Mahalo Bro. Thank you for sharing. 5 Stars...goes To you!!!
Amazing, I am really impressed. do you do projects for others? I have a 2004 element that needs an engine I am in Indiana and could bring you the truck?
Nice work. I have 165,000 miles on a 2009 element and the engine is noisy. I tried to find someone to replace the engine but no luck. Why did you replace the engine in your element?
Didn't like the way that first crank sounded... almost like compression is missing on one cylinder. BUH DIT DIT DAAAHHHH BUH DIT DIT DAAAHHHH etc but that wouldn't keep it from starting I don't think. Four minutes to go, I'm sure you gonna git it ! Yeah bruh, you got it!
You need to watch Eric the car guy working on elements & notice how he explains everything he does in detail..then people would get a lot more out of your video...
Great job, thanks for posting. Can you pull the engine and trans together or is separating them required? Also, did you add a reach extension on your hoist? Is it necessary to have that long of a reach to pull the engine on the element? Thanks
On an automatic element, you can just pull the engine, but a manual you have to pull the engine and transmission. I have the extension when I work on jeeps. No extension is needed for the Honda element
@@ByrdsRebuilds Thanks. So just to be clear, if you wanted to you could pull both on the auto too? I’m asking because I want to swap in a new engine and trans as a unit. Mine is auto awd. I’ve swapped many Honda engines but this is my first element. Thanks again
I figured out your back east. I didn't expect a reply. Thank u! Love the emblem!! Ok.. I'll look into it. I have to save my element. Your motivating me.
No one can learn how to do it their selfs the way you are doing it...unless maybe thats why you are doing it in fast motion ? I suppose you probably do wnat to show other element owners how to remove & replace their own engines ...very sad...
