LOVE YT and guys like you that post common everyday fixes. New to pressure washing and had a brand new fitting go bad on a job. Appears the entire o ring blew out now that I took a look. Nice to know I don't have to replace entire fitting. Thx bro!
Exactly my experience! Didn't even know there was a O-ring in that end as it got blown out. The manufacturer was no help but your advice was perfect. Thanks!
So I've only used this pressure washer one time. ru-vid.comUgkxfQauTxLT0JLSvqkq10rD79TU4k0Vz8zP The one time I used it, it worked great. I recently had new siding installed but kept the old gutters and small areas surrounding my house that weren't replaced so they looked horrible and dirty because of the new siding. I needed to get it cleaned asap. When I used the pressure washer, man it just melted all the dirt and grime that was on those areas of my house. I used that krud kutter soap and it was over after that. Easy to assemble, feels durable, very simple to use. Also, I purchased a used one to save money and there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. I want to get more use out of it so I think I'll be washing the cars and update this comment as time goes on.
Wand was leaking at the end where the nozzles quick-connect. Almost no pressure. Easy fix, was missing an O-Ring 3/8" ID & 9/16" OD, Harbor Freight to the rescue. Honda pressure washer, leaking with no pressure.
I always seat in new O rings with silicone grease or petroleum jelly. It prevents them from wear and aids better sealing and attaching to your pressure washer etc
Getting the right size has turned into a scavenger hunt! No one local has one for the Easy Kleen hot wash pressure washer I have. Or the disconnect went bad after only a few uses. Also I’ve learned I need an oring that is rated for 4500 psi and high temperature rated. The search is still on!!! Hopefully the package I orders from Amazon will be the right size. I’ve found several 3/8 orings but none the exact thickness I need. Any advice?
just match the rings with o-ring kits at home depot plumbing section and thanks that solved it. It appears when one oring goes on one end of the wand the other follows very quickly!
One of the best tutorials I've seen on here. You got straight to the point and helped me fix a leak in the in transit heating system in my semi truck. Thank you
Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad I could help you fix the leak in your semi truck's heating system. It's comments like yours that make creating these tutorials so rewarding.
Like those straight to the point vids. No 10min intro and talking about everything that happened that day for 10 or 20mins.... and now after 30mins lets show ya'll how to do what you're wanting to do in a 5 sec fast foward clip. Lol😂. Watched alot of this guy's videos. Hes to the point and knows whats going on.
Thank you for posting this video. I started my pressure washer for the first time this year and got a shower due to a leaking quick disconnect. I remember that I purchased an oring kit a few years ago and took a chance. Back in business thanks to you!
Thanks for sharing. Your video saved me from buying a new fitting since I could not ell the problem was this missing o ring. I just bough a package of the o rings for future use. Thanks again!!!
Bruh I just started pressure washing as a side hustle and let me tell ya I watched this video and was able to confirm I blew out a o ring and I was able to change is out quickly and completed the job. For a older video I truly appreciate the help!
What I was looking for, thanks. Brought a Craftsman and fired it up. Darn thing sprayed water all on me out sides of disconnect. Was wondering what issue was and came here. With that was wondering if anyone could input on something. Because I have no clue where to even get a search hit on issue. So it's a Craftsman. I notice when I fire it up water gushes out in a steady hard stream. Location is bottom. Not the hose line or all else. On the side sits what looks to be a small end that screws into the belly of whatever. The pump and or water area. This looks to be about round as a pen you write with. Has two or so ridges that appears something goes over it and locks. Kinda looks like the end of a compressor air nozzle. It is brass looking. I can't understand what that is and why water shoots out a high pressure. To me, I can't see the pressure washer being made this way. It eady runs water out while on, is a mess, wastes water and reduces my pressure flow alot. Any take on what may be and what is suppose to be?
Side note, the issue above location is off to side. Where you screw pressure washer hose up. Should be a little spot where something screws in the gray area.
Last night you answered a question of mine about x-jetting a metal roof. I actually got away with using my normal house wash mix today. Thanks for all of your support and answering all of my questions. Thanks!
Perfect! This saved me so much time. I was able to find the 3/8 inch O-ring at Advanced Auto Parts too. Unfortunately, I had to buy an entire variety pack for 7 bucks, but the connection is fixed, and my power washer is working again--still a cheap fix. Thanks again.
Ooohh Thanks. Home depot KIT is only 1 or 2 of those, others never use them, just waste money , not worthy. Sherwin Williams pay for 3 pieces $5.15 cents .. to much for that. I will stop for more there at Advance just to keep when really need it.
Hi Michael, thanks for the video and the example on replacing the o-ring. You just saved me a big heart ache. Although it would have helped if you mentioned the size.
