Thanks much for this video. My daughter's 2012 Honda Accord V6 had a flashing check engine light. Diagnostic code P0303- misfire cylinder 3. Odometer is at 101K miles. Got a phone quote of $329 from the Honda Stealership to replace the six spark plugs and a quote of $169 each to replace an ignition coil. In the process of changing my plugs and coils on my 2012 honda pilot with 180000 miles. We bought the vehicle with 25000 miles on it. Actually plugs look decent but wife said the pilot had been taking longer than usual to start first thing in the morning.

Man the check engine light came on in my 2011 Accord V6 today. The dude at the service station wanted $1000 to change the coils. It's like 2 bolts then a little clip. Job can be done in 10 minutes for ALL coils and the set of 6 is freaking $150 bucks. $950 in labor for a 10 minute job. WOW. Thanks for the vid man.

Great video very informative. Very few people go as slow and explain everything as you did.

You should use a torque wrench, anti- seize and a dielectric grease.

One thing that's probably important is that you have to turn about 1/2 turn with the wrench in order to crush the new crush washer.

My 2013 Honda Accord V6 owners manual recommends 30K intervals . . . 30k . . . 60k . . .90k . . .120k for changing the plugs. I heard dozens of people saying 100K, but my engine check light came on, steady burn, engine stumbled, had no power at 50k. NGK says don't adjust their gaps, but again, Honda Engineers respectfully called for 12 mm, .0440, and the pregapped plugs were .0350. I adjusted to the Holy Book of Honda, The Owners Manual. She runs like a champ!!! Awesome!! Like new. Again, fantastic confidence builder, love your easy going talking narrative. The shop quoted me over $400. All in my pocket still.

Very thorough video! Nice job. I've done this job once on my 179k miles 2010 Accord V6. It's not hard at all, although the back can be a bit challenging, but nothing that a little patience and proper tools can't get it done.

Thanks for the video. I've also seen to make it easier to access the rear plugs, use two 3 1/2 extensions to your socket wrench, adding the second extension after the spark plug socket is in place.

Hey man, good install video! I bet it was fun doing all of that one-handed :) Just a quick tip...rent a torque wrench if you don't have one and make sure they are tightened to spec. A loose plug can vibrate and crack potentially leading to catastrophic engine damage. Mike Becker, Senior Technical Instructor

Put them in by hand and didn't even tighten the plugs. Wow. That should work out well.lol. Didn't even uses torque wrench. Honda are very precise.

I would remove the frame stiffener bar and the rubber hose in back to make getting at the rear spark plugs easier. It only takes about 5 minutes to remove and replace those items and you will save those five minutes by not having to work around them, plus it makes the job less annoying.

Doing my plugs on my 13v6 next week. Dreading doing the back plugs as I have big hands and hard its hard to get through tight spaces.

lol I have 3 spark plug sockets that size and all are missing the rubber piece inside to grab the plug! I had to use the magnet trick combined with the coil trick to get them out!

Thank you for this video. I'll be attempting to change my plugs myself. However I went to the auto parts shop to get the few tools I needed and he gave me 3/8" socket and extension bar. He even had my car info which is a 2010 Honda Accord V6 but you're saying it needs to be 5/8" correct?

What length is that extension ?

How much mile before you normally change them? What if you have like over 10 year but only 60000miles . I see honda say every 30000 miles.Thanks
