Thank you, THIS is the video that made the final seal removal CLEAR! Enjoyed the direct direction and comments, it was a pain in the ass that final inner seal.
Thank you! I was following another install video and ran into a snag. Could get to the screw to remove the entire door, but you definitely saved me a lot of time. Appreciate your service!
Thank-you! I just completed replacing the handle on my Whirlpool Model YMH1141XMQ-3. Your advice on removing the door frame using a slotted screwdriver was particularly helpful.
Thank you! Of course the handle breaks one month on my own after 22 years of marriage! Whom I kidding- I would have fixed this even if my husband was here- but only with helpful videos such as this!
Thanks for posting. Works for Whirlpool /Roper MHE14XMB-1. Caution - the glass stayed with the door on mine and could have fallen onto the stove below and broken; was stuck in place with some silicone. I wasn't able to get the cover back on until I pulled the glass off the door and fit it into the pocket on the cover. Once the glass was back in place, installation of the cover was just snapping it firmly back into place.
I couldn't find anything for my microwave model (Whirlpool Gold Accuwave System GH5184XPS1) and wanted to comment for other owners of my model to know that your video worked perfectly for me.
Looked on the Whirlpool site and they require a service tech to come out in order to replace the handle. This is why they said you must, "A service technician should install the handle because the door contains protective shielding components; the technician must correctly test the microwave for leaks in the microwave shield before you can safely use the microwave." I am sure they charge some ridiculous amount to do so. Who knew a broken handle would be such a big deal to fix. I may just glue mine.
Sorry ... it's really obvious once you get it apart how to put it back together. You insert screws into the handle from inside the cover. Then you just push the cover back onto the door -- it snaps into place, basically -- install the screws on the end, and you're done.
