Getting the 1971 Chevelle ready for the car cruise season here and needed to replace the tie rods. It needs more than that, granted, but this is enough for now.

Cool! The Monte Carlo has always had a special place in my heart. When we got this car, there was serious debate between it and a 70 Monte ourselves.

Great video! I bought some Moog tie rods as well but they weren't threaded for the zerk fittings. Were yours threaded? If not, did you force them in there to self tap them?

Mine were pre-threaded.

They are self tapping so you won’t have threads

Can you still move the tie rods by hand after replacing them or are they stiff now

No they’re stiff. There is some movement because there’s no real resistance with the wheels of the ground. But no play with one wheel and not the other.
