Replacing the Water Pump - 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 

The torque for the water pump bolts are 21 ft lbs. The tensioner are 30 ft lbs. The 2 pulleys are 16 ft lbs. That is according to the service manual.

My truck uses the red Mopar coolant. I buy it on Amazon for $19 Not sure if it's factory coolant or just a previous owner decision.

What tq did you go with on the water pump? I'm getting told 18 ft lbs 19 some say, some say 25, some say 30, one dealer told me 45 ftlbs. But not sure he was correct with all the lower numbers others have stated 🤔

The torque on the tensioner bolt calls for 33 ft lbs. the other bolts should be 19 ft lbs. It is also easier to put a 3/8 breaker bar on the tensioner while you tap the 36 mm fan bolt with a spanner wrench and a 3 lb hammer Great job anyway.

What is the tq spec for the water outlet ?
