Replacing the wood seat bottom and add new foam and upholstery 

We had a set of six antique dining chairs that the wooden seats bottoms were very frail and to the point of failing. It seems like it might be a complex problem but it's really not that hard. We used the old seats to draw a template onto plywood then cut out with a jig saw. Then we traced the new seat onto two inch high density foam and cut out with a bread knife. After that we cut 27 inch sections of batting and upholstery. Watch the video to see how to put all the pieces together.
