Replacing Traveler Car | Catalina 25 

I recently had to replace the traveler car on our Catalina 25 after it got broken at the end of an afternoon sail. The previous owner relocated the traveler from the stern of the boat to the cabin top using a Harken system. The new traveler car is a bearing car while the old one was not, but I was told I didn't need to use the bearings. However, Harken provides good instructions on how to use the newer style traveler car (with bearings) with an older style traveler bar. In this video I take you along and give you a glimpse into what is involved in making this change. Actually...this ended up being a straight forward and fairly simple project. Now I just need some wind so we can take the boat out and test the new Harken traveler car.
