Spencer Berke Did you ever make that follow up video on the Audison upgrade? Did you end up truly feeling like it was a big upgrade from the EPS after a few months of use? Tell us more man, a lot of us have the EPS and would like to upgrade, I did “upgrade” as well but ended up returning to stock so let’s save some people from doing the work. I will make a review on my channel of my review on my “upgrade” from Bavsound. Cheers man!

Awesome sound shop I personally like when people take pride in there work and do it right also like how they go the extra mile and protect your car from scratches by taping off the body panels and not setting your interior panels on the ground like other shops do to me that’s just lazy and ignorant thumbs up to these guys I really wish all shops practiced this 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Not sure if this is an upgrade... You're replacing the very capable Eton speakers from the individual system with some cheap entry level Audison speakers. The driver technology used in those OEM speakers is also used in the higher end MAS-series from Eton. Aftermarket speakersets that cost around 400-500€. Double of what the Audisons cost. And if the Audisons weren't drop in replacements they would cost even less. Half of the price you pay is because they are designed to fit BMW's. The other half is the quality of the driver. So it's basicaly a 100-150$ aftermarket speakerset quality wise. People seem to think because it's aftermarket, it's better. This isn't always the case. Replacing the base audio or Hifi with these Audisons is an upgrade for sure. Harman-Kardon will be of similar quality but the Individual speakers are far better quality as these Audisons. Sure, they may look cheaper and less refined but OEM speakers aren't made to look nice. People never unbox them. They're in the car when they buy it so they don't have to look nice in a box or on a picture, they just have to sound good. Pretty sure that just replacing the amplifier and keeping the stock speakers would have given better results. Besides, the inline filter shown in the video is misleading. It's that of the rear speakers. The fronts have a dedicated little crossover, probably very similar in design to that of the Audisons.

100% with you on this one. I actually like the look of the factory speakers because you can see the yellow cone peaking through the grills from the driver’s seat. Reminds of Focals.

BimmerstyIe Totally agreed! I also made the mistake of “upgrading” to Bavsound and almost immediately after decided to return it to stock. I tried to be fair and gave it a month but nahhh. Only thing I’d say is that the bass from the mids are a lot better from Bavsound. But the the sound from our EPS mids has a lot more clarity. When returning it back to stock I took my time and made comparisons side to side and the voice and instruments with high notes from songs were not present on the Bavsound. I have a video on my RU-vid channel when installing them. I will soon make a full review video on the comparison.

Before any other argument, can you prove that: " The driver technology used in those OEM speakers is also used in the higher end MAS-series from Eton. " I hate people who make a statement the has no proof.

@@WizRumburak Nothing much to prove here. Just look at the speakers. They both use the by Eton patended "Hexacone" material for the membrane. Only Eton uses this material. It's a Kevlar sandwich with honeycomb strengthening in between the layers. When you look at the Individual speakers you can clearly see both layers with the honeycomb in between. They also have a rather big neo motor and pretty large voicecoils for their small size. All things you can see by just looking at them.

One mistake, the factory Individual audio speakers are not Eton speakers, they are actually Bang & olufsen speakers that are even better. Individual audio system should not be touched, it is better as it is

How much is a system like this msrp and labour? I have eps / individual in my m. I don't love it but impossible to stage upgrades. It's like an all or nothing upgrade.

Such a beautiful Individual sound system ruined with mediocre speakers. Individual audio speakers are designed by Bang & olufsen and made by LPG. Also those Audison speakers look cheaper for sure, they look like Bmw base audio speakers made by Philips. And btw, the Audison speakers have passive crossovers for the tweeters, sure, but the Individual audio has active diplexers for the tweeters and midranges. Also the underseat Bang & Olufsen subwoofers have a voice coil sized around 3inch, not a single aftermarket Bmw subwoofer has such a big voice coil. Aftermarket speakers will have worse frequency response, not as deep bass. So in conclusion the OEM ones are better. Very dissappointing lack of knowledge

Thats exactly what i said, they started out looking very professional with the seat covers and then blew me away by not taking 10 seconds to vacuum the mess directly in front of them.

Problem with bmw is that when you upgrade the after market sub which could be 600 watts, at a higher level, bass will drop and you won’t be hearing those 600 watts. In bmw they said it’s to protect the speakers, I call it bullshit.

320kbps or even good 256kbps MP3 is perfectly adequate in a car.

Spotify ogg codec will be enough but do not test with linkin park. They dont made quality songs. Test with Metallica or Michael Jackson for example.

Why not upgrade the head unit while you're at it. There's aftermarket harnesses that'll let you plug and play most aftermarket stereos. A head unit upgrade alone could make a difference in sound. That old saying ( I want to keep the factory look ) crap is BS.
