Filipino mainstream media this one at least is more objective than the American imperialist ABS-CBN. But Mahathir handled it well, showing his principles as the proud independent non aligned leader of Malaysia. Like Sukarno.

No country in this global world is 'independent'. You will be always 'depending' on one of the 'Super Power'. USA is dictating what to do and what not to do to many countries around the world, including Europe, otherwise sanction or war. It is life, nothing is for FREE! No one will allow other just 'nur die Rosinen herauspicken' ( translation in English, no one would allow us to cherry-pick only). Mahathir as 'Prime Minister' should know that and not just complaining. I lost my respect to politicians like him. He seems not to know what he was doing. Life is a decision and you must PAY for your decision. A leader of a country must know, 'depending' to which 'Super Power' his country will get the most advantage.

The real owner of Sabah? Sabahans of course and they are Malaysians. Philippines is not even in sync with South East Asia and they suddenly want to claim Sabah? First of all learn your history on how you were once Muslims and only recently have you become Catholics.

We just had our elections. One of the topic of discussion is to push away claimant made by philipines. It is the voice of sabahan to be with malaysia. President duterte once made a promise to grab back sabah from malaysia. Why didnt he proceed now? Answer is the voice of sabahan. By the way..philipines do not have any say on sabah. Its sultan of sulu. Sultan of sulu and philipines are two different entity.
