To anyone who is thinking of buying one of these mills, do it. Ive watched these videos for about 3 years wanting one but not sure if I should do it. I finally bought one this year and its every bit as fun as it looks!

Nice job bud. I retire in 2 years or so and want to start milling logs. Wished I would have started this 10 years ago. I’m a Public works supervisor and have access to unlimited logs, lol. We grind up more cherry, ash, oak……. All kinds. Hopefully my guys at work will still allow me access. Question for you, do make a little money from selling cut lumber. And if so what seems to be the best seller, slabs… Your machine seems to cut pretty flat. Gonna look into this company also. Thanks for sharing

Thank you. I do cut for other people but don’t make any money at it just enough to cover my expenses that’s about it. There is money to be made for sure but I’m to busy trying to mill for myself and get my projects done. Once I’m done all that I might look into milling to make a few dollars. Woodland Mills is an excellent company as far as I’m concerned. All major sawmill companies may be just as great I don’t have experience with them so I can’t really say. Whatever you choose you won’t regret it. It’s very rewarding making something from nothing.

Thanks Mike for tuning in. I had mine for a year and a half and love it. No regrets. I’m sorry you have such a long wait. I’ve had a couple small issues with my mill but Woodland Mills has been excellent. They are truly the best in customer service. The only problem I have now is finding logs for all my projects. Thanks again for watching glad you enjoy.

Serious Question : Why did you face your sawmill saw dust discharge towards your home? I ask because I cannot think of a single good reason for doing so, but I can list many reasons why you should not have done so.

cut a couple of 2 ft.x 2"id. sch. 40 pvc over your log stops and your logs will roll over much easier. just a helpful tip.

First time watcher. Why it the mill up against the house? Where did you used to mill? I found myself frustrated with your editing style. Always you only showed a portion of the cut, no trimming. I hope this was a combination of my shortcomings and you having a bad day. Listening to people talk Celsius leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Your idle speed is high. Adjust it down just enough so it will run. Otherwise you'll burn up your clutch. If you hear that rattling or tinging sound, that's your clutch trying to engage.

Smart Mark, let the forklift do the work. I like your thinking. I wonder why more guys with tractors don't use the forks when it comes to logging and milling.
