I ordered a Yani soprano replica the other day, silver and gold finish. Looks great on the photos. Good reviews too. An original of this model costs $9000 in Norway, that's what I call insanity. I paid $250 (a little haggling took place) pluss import toll to Norway at $62.

Great looking saxophone, congratulations. I have 4 Chinese made saxophones. One of them bought at a reputable music store in Scandinavia. It's a Roy Benson SS-101 Soprano Saxophone. The others shipped to me from China. My cousin is a professional saxophone player. He visited a saxophone factory in China, inside information implies that some of the Chinese saxophones are made by the same people there who assemble saxophones for high end companies. Not saying anything more. Probably not all the materials they use in production are the same for the high end instruments as for the inexpensive ones. But I do believe that there's a psychological dimension to how people perceive the entire saxophone production topic. It's just too hard for some people psychologically to acknowledge or admit that a Chinese inexpensive horn can be almost at the level of reputable expensive horns. But I believe this has virtually become a reality.

Nice performance, sound , finish and price. I had bought an Allora Chicago tenor saxophone for $1.800.00 and had it worked on, along with a new neck strap, mouthpiece, ligature and reeds. I bought this horn from Woodwind/Brasswind. The Chinese make some remarkable instruments for a good price. Perfect for those who are on a budget and probably great for beginners as well as pros.

I gotta tell ypu i bought a cheap curved soprano. It does play up & down, how in tune it is i cant say. B ut to have a horn in the garage & blow, for $215 delivered im happy with it. It wasnt built too bad either

I have Selmer replik M VI for 250 € Sound 1:1.

A new comer playing a replica is better than a new comer playing nothing. That new comer is then a potential 8k Selmer customer.

The blue S looks stuck on and raised, as opposed to the real MK VI's. And 50's MK VI's have sea scrolls around their joints, and 60's versions have straight milling on theirs. Engraving on the USA versions look like asymmetric fern leaves, and European ones have symmetrical bunny ears. China just don't give a fook about copyright, do they.

I am so glad I found this because I bought a China made Selmer Soprano Paris Serie ll and the price was stupid and the more I looked at it and as bad as I would to have a Selmer I am NOT willing to pay $3000-5000 hell most of us real/true musicians aren’t pulling in that much to drop on a Selmer and if you looking to buy a Selmer MkVl say hello to $7000-15,000 all day I think I will like the Soprano when it arrives, I saw some Selmer tenor MkVl for low low prices nothing like what you have EVER seen and I was like this fck this I gotta at least see what’s up, and they give you 75 days to make a return that tells me they must be a bit okay

I can play a Bundy and make it sound good if I have my mouthpiece and a good reed...but from a repairman player perspective this china made pot metal junk with be needing fixed every week! Period.
