Every city has large empty office blocks. Why not convert some of those into hospitals. It would save on building costs and would result in more hospitals in a shorter time.

My recent experience with a number of NHS organisations in Folkestone and Ashford tells me that the front line medical staff are trying to work with a poor information and formal procedures that do not look at any person as a whole. Failure to diagnose even obvious physical conditions means that matters get worse until hospital stays and long term care become inevitable!

What about the people who go to get their pimples popped at A & E they wouldn't be so fast if they had to pay the bill.

Was not the money saved from Brexit supposed to be redirected into the NHS or was that yet another con?

If only British people were more grateful! Our NHS is more appreciated by US citizens and no surprise why. For those who don’t know…the NHS was introduced in 1948 to provide care ‘from the cradle to the grave’…my mother began working from 15 and paid in via her taxes right up until retirement. She is 79 now. I am so sick of everyone slagging it off - waiting lists have risen steeply because the Tories have their own agenda - the NHS was brought in by a labour govt. Obviously it is struggling after decades of deliberate underfunding everytime the Tories got in…vying to cripple and bring it to its knees in. With the intention to allow their friends to run it by bidding to run dodgy over inflated contracts rather than keeping cleaning and electrical services in house. Waiting for a contractor to come in and pay £80 to change a light bulb or fix a radiator that would then be sabotaged by the contractor to prolong payments under that contract…it’s disgusting and it should be overhauled including a reduction in unnecessary managers whose job roles could be absorbed within other roles elsewhere.

The NHS was doomed from its beginning. Let us not forget that Bevan went to his deathbed apologising fr the 'monster' he created. He realised too late that improving the health of the nation and maintaining a service free at the point of delivery would occupy more and more of the annual government budget. Similarly, new diagnostic procedures and technologies mean a demand for new treatments. Globalisation and international travel mean significant population changes and exposure to new diseases and health risks of pandemic potential. There has never been a "national' investment in hospitals, technology or staffing. Strategic decisions have been allowed to be blocked or warped at regional level, often at trust level. The NHS went from being to the 'jewel' in the UK Crown to a constantly growing patina that each government wants to go away.

Labour have already reduced the amount of money given to each trust . . The NHS is doomed😢😢😢

Years ago we had two hospitals but the then the Conservatives decided to have cut backs and closed one hospital it is now a housing estate we have one hospital left in our town and the population is growing in our towns .

My bad I discovered I was autistic at around age 29, got my official diagnosis last year at 32 from the NHS... I was quite stubborn in my self-diagnosis... Most people keep it to themselves just in case there wrong...
