I think one of the biggest disservices modern journalism has perpetrated is to not call out bad actors. Those with power are allowed to lie consistently and are gently talked to and about.

I think the one’s willing to give interviews are the ones that actually think they’re right. And the ones avoiding interviews know they’re wrong and are just doing it for personal gain and bias.

I got my ballot this year, but NONE of the Republican candidates were contested. I called the local Dem office, and they said it's not a friendly race anymore, people are afraid to run against them.

As someone who lived in Arizona for 31 years, the aggressiveness comes from the fact that Arizona has turned purple from being Red for so long. The right's domination over politics in that state has been matched and finally being overwhelmed and defeated thanks to the increase of diversity in people moving there.

I dumpster dove the republican convention in Monterey, CA and found a dumpster full of unopened food cashmere clothing with the tags still on them and a receipt book from a senator from Cali. In this book was a detailed history for one year of all this guys money transactions. He owns his own plane that Flys around and has meetings with private parties and companies with his friends and family. Eating out at nice restaurants every night. All of it funded by tax dollars. The book of receipts were 3 feet tall. How come this record book was in the garbage and nor at a library for the people who are supporting them to see. Thier was bag and bags of shredded documents also. We need accountable officials who are not using the position to profit. But we will never get that if we don't demand change. The political class doesn't know what ordinary people do in America to survive. All they know is where the money is at. They are true aliens. Alienated by wealth and power they loose sight of any moral obligation to the real American people who work making America into what it is today. People worship wealthy people because they want to be like them and be part of their life somehow. We really should be worshipping those who have a better way of life for all of us. Unfortunately we can't achieve this with representative democracy. This is how corrupt politicians look democratic but actually are just self interested criminals. We have to start representing ourselves in our own communities.

I don't think it's a good idea to assume anything is what it appears to be. The US has a very divisive history and I'm not sure why anyone would feel like the powers that be hold our interests at heart. I'd be more interested in learning why we let those suffering from mental decline almost exclusively make all the decisions for the rest of us.

Journalists need to be asking the kinds of questions that Hice would get during a job interview. And then check out the public record. What kinds of reimbursement claims did he make on his out-of-town trips? How about his taxes?

I really liked this report. It gave me an insight to your voting system. We definitely have a more simpler and I think more fairer system here in Australia.But we also have our fair share of different thinking,manipulating , politically aligned type of people here in Australia that you feature in this report. As this bastardisation off your voting system continues, I’m sure these like minded people here must be looking at how they to could also take advantage of any loopholes or exploit any opportunities or weaknesses in our system.

Unfortunately due to the way the two parties and the presidential elections are run in the states there isn’t much difference between the two parties. Without tackling this problem the chance of a trump style candidate gaining power again are quite likely. Seems like a huge mess now and not something that’s easy to rectify. We also have a similar issue here in the UK a lot of people don’t vote as they are both terrible options.

Cmon Vice…any American or person who isn’t far left can sniff out the bias and narrative control a mile away. I’ve always enjoyed this channel, but unfortunately there’s a growing trend for “moderate” news to start sprinting left as fast as possible. When half the citizens in US realize they don’t have a voice, or that their views are “morally wrong”… it will only lead to further conflict and left vs right mentality. And quite frankly many people are becoming fed up with the media domination

Voting should be Mandatory because it is a Civic DUTY not just a right. The People Elect those who will supposedly (and hopefully) represent them. If people who can vote don't vote then the representation is less likely to reflect the societal opinions. If all you have to do is show up once per year or every other year to vote (for all levels of government), then that should be deemed a small thing to ask of a democratic society. Rather than asking people to exercise their rights, mandate their duty as citizens.
