Here's a video showing how to re pot your Phalaenopsis orchid in to a 15cm translucent pot. This variety is Phalaenopsis wiganiae but it applies to almost every variety on earth.
You can use a 11.5/12cm pot for smaller plants or a 15cm pot for older and larger plants or those with large root systems.

You clearly know what your doing , so I have a question, I was always told there are two types of roots , one that stay under the medium and the top roots which I was always told not to put into the medium? Is this true? Can all roots be put in the medium?

Hi Tracy, if the as new roots appear above ground you can simply 'aim' them at the compost and they will go in there as they grow. Phals always have aerial roots though and you can just leave them as they are, they have a special coating on them preventing them from drying out. You will note when they get wet the texture changed from smooth and shiny to dull and chamois leather like. When you come to repot the plant just bury these roots and they will work fine until the plant has new underground roots.
