Great to see those have survived overwinter, Louise. Are you going to be moving them outside over the summer? I hope mine adapts to the conditions in the greenhouse 🤞
No I don't think I'll risk it Peter. One of them is in the gro tent the Pink Guava and the Purple I moved out of the gro tent a couple of weeks ago when I saw the Sri lankan looked dead and one of the leaves on the Purple had shrivelled it looked burnt. From past experience I noticed they don't like big fluctuations in temperature which our summers are prone to. Either too hot and the leaves get bleached and go crispy or too wet and cold resulting in yellowing leaves. The purple is now on my kitchen window sill facing west, where it gets late afternoon sun and when I'm cooking and boiling the kettle throughout the day that creates a bit of humidity which they seem to benefit from.
I've lost so many over the past year, they are deceptive in that when they drop all their leaves and the stems look completely dried out I will throw them out which is what I was about to do with the Sri lankan, then it surprises me with new shoots 🙄
