Great video Jerome. Time-lapse much appreciated, but I would have liked to hear more commentary, particularly on the styling of this tree. I'd also like to see this tree again in a year or two to see how it fills out (maybe some before and after shots?)

Great work, but please do an audio mix on your videos to make your dialogue and music peak at the same volume. Had to turn the volume way up to hear you then blasted my speakers when the music kicked in.

Hey Jerome. I live in zone 7. Along the coast in southern Maryland I have a 4 year old willow ficus. It's struggling can I slip pot it now. I stays in and all season room. And should I fertilize it once repoted.

Jerome! Greetings from Utah my friend, I have some sick trees and heard of potting them in sphagnum moss, have you heard of this or have a other recommendations? Always love your work, thank you very much

We are The Bonsai Supply they were nursery stock and I believe I put them outside in the full sun too soon and applied the fertilizer I got from the bonsai supply, too soon as well. All of the leaves browned and fell off. If I scratch the bark on the trunk, it’s definitely still green. So to help the roots grow like crazy peter Chan from herons bonsai recommended to pot them in pure sphagnum moss. Like one would for air layering.

Hector dehesa hey Hector, I have never heard of this before. Keep in mind that herons is in a completely different climate. Your tree isn’t sick, it is very weak right now. I would recommend that you remove all the damaged foliage if it isn’t a conifer. Keep it in the shade until you see new growth make sure the tree doesn’t dry out

I'm sure Jerome knows more than I do about how to take care of trees. But I have seen Mr. Chan's videos and seen him talking about planting in sphagnum moss. I believe that is moreso a fix for sick trees that have been hit with pests or an illness. The chemicals in the moss help the root system. And also keep it from drying out. But I agree with Jerome, yours sounds just weak. I'd go by his advice for your tree.
