There's plenty of Bertram and 25 Carribbean fly bridges arouns Australia. See how Kim Audas has repowered his with a single, MerCruiser 350HP inboard. This thing flies!
I repowered my Caribbean reef runner with the new 200 hp mercruiser and it’s the best thing I ever did. Awesome fuel economy and power. The Mercury dealer was the same. Great attention to detail and made sure it was done right. Also the after sale service is great. Not to many businesses are like that these days
Great vid. But by god I couldn't help but want to polish up the boat and spice up the trim work! Mate she could be looking a million bucks with some elbow grease! Get crackin'!
I have a similar rig but different engine but still a 350 fuel injected chev. I have the old Alpha leg and would love to have the Duo-prop and new leg to suit.
I repowered my Whittley Sea Legend 7.3 with the 300hp 6.2 litre V8. I have the Bravo 2 and down hill with a tail wind I can just make 40 knots. Don’t know how you squeeze 44 knots out of the Berty, maybe the bravo 3 leg is the key....?
would like to know the pitch of the props, have and doing what you are except I am adding a jack shaft, put the engine 18' forward. I have a1969. Is there a a critical distance to mount the transom bracket? I am absolutely blown away by what you did, I think I can kick it up a notch by giving me some space for fishing. I did do away with the bridge also.
