=============================================
The Sensotronic Brake Control system was developed by Bosch to be used in Mercedes vehicles exclusively from 2003.
It was designed to stop working after 360,000 brake events.
Specifically, after detecting 360,000 brake events, the SBC will limit the braking function, it will activate a warning message on the dashboard and will log a fault code.
This was done as a safety precaution by Mercedes.
However, in the years since this safety feature was originally implemented, Mercedes has determined that the aging and wear limits of the SBC system are well above 360,000 break events and no longer requires it to be replaced.
By reprogramming the SBC control module, full functionality will be restored.
If the issues remain after coding, the SBC control module may need to be replaced.
