Reptilian at Kings Dominion in Doswell, VA.
Originally opened as Avalanche in 1988, this Mack Rides bobsled coaster has its vehicles free-rolling and swinging in a steel trough at 41 mph. The course is filled with turns, helixes, and snappy transitions. The attraction held a light Olympic bobsleigh theme with each car representing different countries as it rolled on a white track. In 2022 as part of a rebrand of the section of the park to Jungle X-Pedition, the coaster was renamed and rethemed to Reptilian, now slithering on brown and orange track. NAPHA spotlights Kings Dominion for continuing to operate the only Mack Rides Bobsled in North America.
