@@joshuamarx8209…what do you think goes on in the suburbs? I don’t disagree with the point you’re making, but…”lobster brunches and ski-doo trips?” It’s like a bit straight out of I Think You Should Leave.
They don't understand how fucked they are when the bribe they have for most of their base is "ARE YOU A RUDE, UNFUCKABLE FAN OF SLICE OF LIFE ANIME FOR TWEENS? WE WILL GET YOU A TRADWIFE" and now young women have a huge incentive to just abstain from sex and marriage. I hope they repeal no fault divorce, too, and accidentally make Lysistrata real.
I love that the GOP realized that anti-abortion/anti-trans rhetoric is losing them elections and votes, tried to make it harder to pass laws, but then campaigned on Issue 1 with the same anti-abortion and trans messaging that's costing them in the first place. Just an absolute birdbrained ploy
Man, you wanna talk about weird Republican election ploys? In Michigan's last gubernatorial election they ran what I can only describe as a younger, hotter, crazier body double of our incumbent governor. It was so weird, and even the Republican voters I talked to thought it was weird.
Its really amazing to see. I think there are only 8 or 9 states (WV, WY, TN, SC, MS, AL, AR, and OK) that could have a majority vote for abortion restrictions. If Dobbs had lowered abortion to 15 weeks then there wouldn't have opened this electoral backlash. But now they've caught the car and they're gonna get dragged along the asphalt for the next 30 years.
Nope. The Right won this country for all time decades ago. You know why? Because they are in control of both political parties in a goddamn duopoly, that's why... The Democrats will illegalize abortion for anyone outside the privileged classes before you know it. Don't believe me; keep electing them and watch as they codify this particular aspect of the Right Wing agenda, just like Clinton did economically in the 90s.
@@typhonsentra Bill Lee won by 30 points and neo-nazis are pretty active in the state. Maybe youre right and nashville + eastern valley could swing it. But Im not sure if ancestral dem = pro choice. SC definitely more up in the air but I could see them voting for it.
@@banjo304 Georgia with 2 dem senators? Not that it's a blue state now or whatever, but it's certainly more blue than some of the states that have gone against restrictions so far.
Im old enough now that ive had at least 3-5 co workers and friends asked me for a ride to a doctor because their parents, siblings and boyfriends freak out over the ownership of a womens fetus or virginity. Hogmen are awful.
Coming here after watching them fumble around the abortion problem during the first primary debate. It seems like some candidates are starting to pick up on the fuckup and basically saying "we'll stop here, we just wanted individual states to decide" Then they get booed and some other crazy on stage talks about how they want a federal 5 week ban minimum. You just love to see it
Trump getting found guilty but being elected President would be the funniest outcome and also ignite a powderkeg and possibly plunge the US into civil war or at the very least unrest
Nothing funny about it. It would prove America's fallibility. Food shortages, blood in the streets, money would be worthless, millions would die, become refugees, America's allies would turn against it, organize an invasion to restore order, and it would last for years. The world would never be the same.
@@maxwessel7786yeah this becomes exposed more and more each year lol like things aren't even bad and people are chomping at the bit to murder each other
Proud to say I voted no on the amendment, probably the most significant political thing I did tbh considering we won and by what I assume was a narrow margin (and yes I am ashamed of that).
Probably unpopular, but as a dude, sacrificing one right I didn’t have in exchange for Republicans losing every competitive election moving forward isn’t that bad
@@johnrains2339 it's *a* strategy, the biggest problem with it is that in order to keep or gain any rights of any kind you have to rely on the party to defend them, which, well....
Iirc the demographic that tends to vote the most is older women. IE women who were probably childrearing age prior to Roe V. Wade. Ohio thought they ate 💀. Also ime the pro life people I know are quote "Pro life for me, pro choice for you." Meaning if they got pregnant no matter the circumstances, they would keep the child, but they're not like "Let's imprison 20 year olds who had a miscarriage." Which is why I dislike the whole "If [cis] men could get pregnant..." argument because if my dad could get pregnant, he would still be pro life and personally carry to term. Pro life politicians think that average pro lifers do want 13 year old SA victims to get the guillotine, because they're ghouls and are projecting they're sociopathy onto the public. And I think that's why this whole thing is so messy.
That is the position a lot of people do be saying they hold. It’s the kind of theoretical self-sacrifice, that usually hasn’t been stress tested (That being said, I also know a lot of people that believe they believe this)
@@leorickt.9604The Right are the only people who pay attention to politics in the US that actually know what the country and it's project are actually meant to be.
I guarantee you are a debate nerd to say something so subjective like that. I mean how in the fuck do you discern intellectual stimulation from the Alexis Texas/Ambuh days?
@@joshuamarx8209 Amber definitely had more actual connection to working people than Will. The show is entertaining but Will is definitely the worst part of it, his preppy new york trust fund kiddie comes through too often. Maybe not necessarily in this clip, but it does.
The amount of “pro life” boot lickers in the comments 😑 Also, some of you know you don’t have to listen if you don’t want to. Some of you are speaking as if someone is twisting your arm and forcing you to listen. And I also wonder what country some of you are from, to not know how cringe your opinions are when it’s spelled out in plain English.
Hay man, the woman I was with had a abortion and it really messed me up. But than I realized she was just covering for being whore while I paid her way through life and probably knew I was gonna get a DNA test. So she committed murder. Not me, so I stopped feeling guilty lol
