But they would most likely choose to save the one baby because they don't really see those 50 embryos as 50 babies. The point of the hypothetical is to get people to think if they really mean what they say. It's not a likely scenario someone is going to have to make, but it is important for people to question their philosophy and ideas to see if they hold up well.

The eggs go through this chamber with lights and you're supposed to physically pick out the fertilized ones but it goes so fast that they get through.
