This is my fav song while I lived in SK and I am still listening to it. And I’m not into soap opera and anime but love to listen ost from k-drama(ex:perhaps love, stay with me, start over etc)

That's awesome! I don't know that I have a single favorite song since I listen to so many groups and songs. I haven't heard very many kdrama osts but I'd like to get into some kdramas at some point if/when I have more time to go down the rabbit hole lol

You're right about the Butterfly since its her debut and she came from a massive dating "scandal" the year before plus GG kicked a member out and people were quick to blame her as she's the leader. Her solo fans were very worried about her debut but she came out beautifully like a butterfly would. Her signature is also a butterfly and her 2nd release is called Rain which is -bi in korean. I is -na.. so I (na) + Rain (bi) = nabi w/c is Butterfly translated in English. Taeyeon's purposeful like that 😁 Also, GG did not disband.., they celebrated their 15th anniversary last year. SM doesn't really disband groups and GG members seem to want to preserve their group so they plan on going for a long time.

Oh that's a pretty cool touch on the release names! Also cool to hear they didn't disband. I think I remember hearing they were doing something together not too long ago but I'm not too sure. Either way, they're iconic even though I don't know much from them.

@@JeffReacts12 yeah.. they released a full album for their 15th year. They went on some shows, did their own variety, a fan concert.. basically a full promo for the fans who waited. As long as Taeyeon is signed with SM they can't disband GG even if only 4 of the group are in SM now. The others are still part of the group even if they have different agencies.

@@8milk Oh thats awesome! I love groups who genuinely love their fans. I know most groups do but there's some that it seems just go through the motions and pretend to love the fans. I didn't realize they couldn't disband. That is something interesting to keep an eye on in the future.

@@JeffReacts12 I think they do. Most are actresses now that the scheduling for the promo meant no sleep but they still went to music programs for the chance to see their fans. Very few kpop groups last 15 years and even if they have no obligation to promote the group beyond SM's contract ('cause half have different agencies now) GG still did the full scale promo for the fans.

@@JeffReacts12 its not like they couldn't disband. SM doesn't disband groups officially, some just fade away. GG just couldn't fade away since they are iconic and Taeyeon is active and makes hits so people generally link her with GG since she's Main Vocal and Leader.

I just checked, 256 million views on this video. Taeyeon recently came off a massive 12 concert, eight country Asian solo concert tour that sold out in minutes. Total attendance for the tour was 108,000.

Taiwan alone had 109k (online) waiting to get tickets and only allowed less than 15k lol SM refused to give her tours outside asia or even in China where she's massive w/o promo.. they're treating her like some indie artist lol

Her fans sent trucks for like 1 month to protest SM's treatment of her career but nothing changed.. even their request of consistent social media updates weren't heard.. her fan accounts update more and fans get info of her activities from some gossips in forums 😭 Taeyeon is such an introvert that she's happy to stay home if she's not scheduled for anything 💀

No subtitle necessary, unless it's a Remastered MV or if you really want to know the message then check out the Colored Lyric MV that someone made here on YT.😅 _____ And someone might have already mentioned, but their live concert performance are better than the MV.

@@JeffReacts12 I'm new to SNSD and to Taeyeon (only about 2 years) so I assumed that it was due to her last name Kim being closer to the word "King." However, it appears that there was a vlive for the song "What do I call you" where Taeyeon went through a list of nicknames she liked and specifically mentioned that she prefers the name, "King Taeyeon". ______ If you happen to really enjoy Taeyeon's music, then it's worth checking her group - SNSD (Girls' Generation). Each member has her own unique sound, but it works well in their group harmonies. Doing a SNSD guide by ohwoowoo will also give you a glimpse of their personalities, a tease of their songs, and some of their funny moments... It's actually a long guide (around 1hr 40mins), but I highly recommended because it's currently the best SNSD guide available in YT.👍

Pro tip for you as a reactor: Never do auto generated subtitles. Look and see if there are official subtitles or not when doing non-english songs. I was really enjoying your style of reaction but the auto subtitles SUPER ruined this for me and I had to stop watching. "blood" and "bowling allies". Turn the subtitles off man lol.

Haha thanks for tryin to watch anyway. I use the subtitles to atleast get SOME hint of what's going on. In another video I did after this one I tried having lyrics pulled up on another monitor and asked if anyone did or didn't like that but haven't gotten a response yet. Sometimes I like those auto generated subs because they can be funny but I can definitely see why some ppl would be distracted lol. Thanks again! Not sure what other artists you might like but maybe I've reacted to something else you would like where the subs aren't so off-putting :)
