Marion commits to the point of no return calling up Big Tim/Little John. It's only 40 seconds, but in my opinion the best scene of a great movie called Requiem for a Dream.
Omg i remember how when I first watched this scene and he started making an evil chuckle once he heard her voice the second time she called him, just him getting excited to know that he was about to have another victim soon. This is scary!!!
I read the book this movie was based upon. I remember the part when Marion went to Big Tim’s and she always recall his “Santa Claus laugh”. Everytime I read the Santa Claus laugh I imagined something very terrifying. This clip confirmed it. Oh my god. Maybe some day I would be ready to watch the full movie, because the book anguished me so much that I still feel afraid to watch it in the screen.
Sofia Hi I’m currently reading the book after watching the film a few times now. The first time I watched it I had no idea what it was me and a friend rented it from Blockbuster purely because the cover on the DVD looked interesting. Oh my God, let’s just say I was in a similar situation to Marion, I really needed some money but wasn’t paid for a few days. I found it extremely hard to watch, the film was amplifying how I was feeling, I was gripping the chair as the film progressed towards the end it was a terrifying experience. Such a good film though, you should watch it. I’d imagine it will disturb you but as sad and desperate as the characters and subject matter are it’s a brilliant film.
@@ianwalters11 God, I just saw this comment like 8 months later! thank you for sharing your experience and sorry for just answering now. I'm still unable to watch the film to this day, but maybe one day I will find the strenght to do it, since I'm sure its a very good work by Aronofsky. Reading the book is a whole experience too.

Yeah, maybe. I thought about it, and I guess there's no direct reference that he's a pimp. I just made that conclusion on my own, but he could just be a weirdo with dough, as you said.
