My great grandpa bought a 856 brand new. We still have it today. Has 16,992 hours on it haha. Has never been rebuilt. Only thing we have done is TA’s, clutches, and a injection pump. Was used for many years plowing and fitting ground so not exactly easy hours. The engine is getting a little tired but still use it all the time!
We still have the 826 my grandfather bought brand new never left the family and it's mainly used for bush hogging and the occasional cruise around the block still fires right up with the first push of the button and runs like a champ
Love the 1466 and 856, they are definately my 2 favorites. I got over 12000 hours on my 856 and it still runs like a swiss watch, and my 1466 which is an absolute beast used to pull a 12 row corn planter until a few years ago. Both of mine also have the tombstone seat, its like sitting in a lazyboy while Im running the tractor.
I find it amazing that the T.A. delete tractors don't bring much. The 1466's are animals. I just drove my nephew's 14 today , and power wasn't at all a problem.
In the range of IH 806 to IH 1466, what IH tractor would you say is the best value choice for a 600 acre property? Preparing to buy back my Grandad's farm.
This guy I new and his friend was so much IH he had wreches and all were IH brought most of that when he passed but his friend said your so IH you probably have red underwear so for chistmass his friend brought him red underwear and had IH embroidery on them lol but that's okay I see your the same all good good equipment you have good videos I watch your Chanel all the time iamfrom alberta Canada
Got to love the USA here in Canada 90% of the farm equipement auctions are online only. It's really not the same but at least we have you showing us auction that are sone the good old fashion way. ❤
@@FarmallFanatic LOL! We had those three mentioned, actually had 2 -806’s, a 560, an H and a C, a Steiger 4WD…. But I’d be satisfied just landing our three main irons again, an 8, a 12 & a 14, and a good disc again. What was the difference between the IH 480 disc and the 490? Was it that the 490 came with hydraulic wings?
The 1466 probably would have sold higher if it had a ta. man i lived on my uncles 856 with a straight pipe. go to bed and all you heard was that exhaust ring in your ears😁nothing better than that
Haven't seen a video from you in a while I pray to God everything with you and your family as well if not my prayers are with you I know I'm dealing with some health issues myself hopefully everything goes right if not I don't know if I'm going upstairs or downstairs most likely I am going upstairs but just throw a good word in for me with the big guy you talk to him tonight before bed hope to see you come back soon
Remember the Willard Tractor Salvage in Ohio they were putting Woods Mowers on darn near every letter series tractor they wanted to sell. Woods Mower company had adapters to fit any tractor. I could see the six foot to replace a brush hog on a field that was just weeds and not saplings. Still if it wasn't level ground the six foot mower will scalp a lot. You were South of me and I saw a dealer name of Krytoyski from Wellington. Bought my last tractor a New Holland from them. Now they don't touch New Holland and I get my parts from IH in Wellington instead of going down to Ashland Ohio.
Mechanic total wrong have JD and IH and they both will go 10 000 plus for hours unless you abuse them and not change oil and even then they are both good old tractors
Nice to see they brought attention to you. The 856 was nice other than that big stack they put on. I believe the M was a later 1950s one. I liked the Super C. Was hoping you'd show the W-6. Thanks so much for the video...
@@FarmallFanatic Yes, now that I think about it the exhaust was on the right side. That's how you can tell the difference between a gas and diesel from afar off. On Ms, W-6 series and W-9 series tractors, the exhaust is on the left side on the gas tractors and on the right on the diesels.
Another excellent preview and sale video 👌 was really surprised to see the 856 outbid the 14😳 these 2 big New Hollands running between 3and4 hundred horsepower but they weren't Red Power 💪💥
Another gem FF, what did that Wheel Horse bring. Got a couple of friends that mow and garden with them, they love em. Keep knockin it out of the park hoss! Thx💥🇺🇸💥
Hey ..this is mark down in Charlotte n.c. I'm getting ready to sell this 1957 farmall 130. ..do you know anyone who is looking to fill out a collection?
It sold for fifteen k I would have had to go sixteen k and then somebody else might have taken me to seventeen k and then I would have maybe had to go to eighteen I mean when does it stop?
@@ryanduren2739 Yeah, but I'm not into paying more for something than what it's worth. You still gotta use common sense... I thought the tractor should have sold for $12000.Maybe thirteen
You are an amazing source of knowledge of "red power" information, and I like how you evaluate each tractor, BUT please lose the rhyme time talk! I find it annoying, maybe others don't or maybe they do too! Reardless I'm still subscribed.
At 56 years old, I doubt i'm going to change...maybe for the worse. Pete's probably more your channel type. I don't take offense to it... There's personality types.I really don't care for either.
4,000 hours on 4020 overhaul 10k on ih oil change. You know I farmed a lot of years. We were die hard red until late 70’s there was a reason we got rid of them and bought green! Never looked back.
