While it's not my usual kind of vibe, I found myself liking Uh Uh ... actually very much so. Rescene definitely goes on my "let's follow what they come up with in the future" list.
yesss bro. i was watching your stream for this and waiting for you to post to yt; i knew you'd like it. i also wasn't sold on the "uhuhuhuhuhuh" the first time, but the "bararam" post chorus (+ the dirty synth bass) unlocks the whole song for me. my favorite melody/part of a kpop song so far this year.
Totally agree on your assessment of the chorus. I like how they didn't stick to the "Uh uh uhuhuh uh" for too long even though it was catchy. It transitioned to the post chorus really well and really fleshed out the song. I really like this track.
I was really surprised by this, because it was the only group in that rush of girl groups that all debuted within a week of each other that I hadn’t heard anything about beforehand. But they really won out for me. I’m obsessed. Totally agree that the post chorus elevates UhUh and makes it fantastic.
Yoyo is already a soty contender for me. I could listen to it all day long. I hope Rescene sticks to this style for future comebacks. They'll have a bright future ahead ❤
Both songs do such a good job with the fake drop and then the more upbeat post chorus. This group have really impressed me and I already can’t wait to hear what else they’re going to release in the future!
i definitely loved this debut, the songs give me serious gwsn/billlie bside vibes which is super exciting to me as i’m always on the lookout for more music with similar vibes to those groups
YESSSS!!! Someone else who hears Billlie and is a Billlie fan too!!!! I love Billlie and I now love this group. I get Billlie, Loona, and Red Velvet vibes from this group which are all very good for me.
I wonder how many young people hearing this will even get the musical influences here. I'm a 50 year old African American and this is an incredible modern interpretation of a ton of 80's post-funk pop R&B. The deep wombly synths, the bompa bompa strolling beat, the horn stabs? Love it.
Bro check out Candy Shop!!! Their debut is Good Girl and it’s sooooooo 90’s R&b it’s great! RESCENE and Candy Shop had the best debut in march in my opinion 😊
