I'm actually married to Tina Erb which is now Tina Medina and her little syster Melissa is my syster in-law from this episode. When my wife saw this episode in here, she started to cry because she still remembers everything like if it was yesterday. I think my syster in-law (Melissa), Danielle and my wife (Tina) did a great job with the little resources and no training to get all the info required for the emergency dispatcher. I'm so proud of my wife! Thank you for posting it here !!!!
Titto Medina God caused the girl to call that number. God is above all people and he sees who needs help especially for those who have nobody. God heard and felt his loneliness and God used his heart condition to bring them them together
Although this elderly gentleman has since passed on, it's really nice that for his last few years of life he became part of an extended family, and that he got to spend another few years on this earth thanks to a fluke wrong number by some unlikely heroes.
Everyone who appears in this episode is so likeable. The man's life was saved by a twist of fate; in the form of a wrong number. He is in a better place now. God bless him and the good young ladies who helped him.
Such DEAR, beautifully kind & sweet natured, young girls...When the elderly gentleman said, "I finally have a family," I burst into tears...I hope his final years were full of Loving kindnesses...
Oh my God I hear this b******* so many f****** times on shows like this it's not funny people say it was my aunt or it was my uncle it was my grand father it was my father it was my great nephew it was my aunts nephew it was my son it was my aunt aunt aunt cousin b******* and I call b*******
How weird. I'm watching this episode exactly 30 years after it aired. I'm so glad I randomly stumbled on this channel a few years back. I've never seen this show in the UK and we have nothing similar. There are plenty of 999 programmes but non that do reconstructions with the victims
Melissa and Tina in the video are my aunts now....and of course they still remember that night till this day. They just told me about how they were on the show so i looked it up on youtube and found it. It's wierd to see them so young lol. But i am very happy that aunt missy called the wrong number :)
What a bunch of sweet aunt's you have.the wrong missed dialed number that day was not a mistake.they were his hero and God sent them to him.God bless ♥️ your aunt's
I don't really believe in miracles but this blows my mind. All because she called the wrong number. I think this might be a miracle. I love this story. Plus he got a grandchild😢😢😢😢
smash thebug there’s one on Miracle where a woman called the operator looking for someone & the operator gave her 2 different (she picked at random) people’s numbers with the same last name to try to find them. The woman called them & turns out the 2 men she called were long lost father & son who have been looking for each other for 20 years!
Those young ladies.....this is one the most beautiful story I've ever come across. I teared up when he was asked to be their grandpa. Now he has 3 grand daughters.
Bravo girls! Those young girls were absolutely amazing! They realized this elderly gentleman needed help, and they stayed with him on the phone. I'm very proud of those girls. I wish they were my daughters. God bless them.
What a wonderful example of three young Girls who were raised properly to think of others before themselves. They probably learned a lot from him and he gained an instant Family. Beautiful story!
@@thehapagirl92 no. This was well before the days of 911 in every community, let alone enhanced 911. The emergency numbers were different for each community, and in the front of the phone book. That's what they did.
The empathy of these girls is astonishing . The way she tears up remembering that day brought me to tears. I wonder if there will always be kids like this. Truly heartwarming story ! The parents must be so proud
I actually never got to see it back in the day. Watching the episodes now and by far this is among the best. This one is what my grandma would call "a fortune in misfortune." On a side note, love all the nostalgia with the phones :-)
A great example of children who were raised right. Their concern for this older man who they didn't even know is an incredible show of how much their parents instilled in them morals and values. When contrasted with the RU-vid video of the bus monitor being bullied, all I can think is "when did things go wrong?"
This is such a touching and ironic episode! Wow! How many times have we dialed a wrong number, apologized, and hung up? Kudos for the girls knowing what to do and saved the man's life. This is too ironic!
"sorry for ruining your new years" 😭 Omg. So glad the Internet exists so years after this chap has passed there are still people remembering he was here
@MBH96 The town didn't have a 911 system at that time, only a seven-digit emergency number (which is why the girls had to look it up in the phone book). Also, his symptoms were likely interfering with his ability to think clearly, so he might not have considered dialing the operator to ask for the number.
Wow! What amazing young girls! And the old guy's sooo sweet too. I'm so glad they ended up as "family" & that the old guy didn't die alone. Young people could learn a lot from these young girls & the old guy. God moves in mysterious & amazing ways! Miracles really can lead to even more amazing things! It just goes to show that there are good people out there.
i really liked this one!!! Thank you for Posting!!! It's so sweet that they all got to meet and be close. Even if he died a few years later, he didn't die alone, and I think that's why I liked this story so much!
What a strange coincidence they dialed his number... I think this is the best one so far. I wish there was an update on the relationship.. I'm sure he's long gone now but still wonder how it all turned out.
The epilogue sure summed it up. Guess that applied to the last years of his life. Some of the girls' (now women's) husbands and aunt/ niece commented on this video.recently
She dialed the right number. She helped save his life. Both of my grandfathers have passed away now. I did tear up towards the end of this segment. These girls are so blessed along with her new grand pa.
this brought tears to my eyes, especially at the end when they were walking and he said they asked him to be their grandfather. I have a special connection with elderly and I have grown close to elderly people who I am not related to but think of like my grandparents
It's nice to have these videos in the video quality they're in, It's reflective of the 90s. I wonder how it reflects on other things of the time? I was born in the 90s, So since I was a kid at the time I didn't yet know some things.
it says in the notes at the bottom of the screen that not all communities had 911.....remember this was in 1992, notice how the operator had to WRITE everything down? Things have changed alot
Those girls were that old man's angels. They accomplished something greater than any New Year's Resolution before the New Year even started in saving a vulnerable person's life and demonstrating such empathy. I almost broke down after seeing this episode because it showed that strangers at times are unconditionally friends.
What a beautiful story, the parents of these girls would be very proud of them I'm sure. I'm so glad that they got a grandpa and that Mr Denny got grandchildren to love. Just precious......
Same thing also happened to me, back in the days when I was a junior college student, somebody dialed me (as wrong number) while she was figuring out what to do with her collapsed friend and... Feels so good when you get the fill of being helpful, no matter how small your help is :)
Alexandra Muer that’s when I started crying lol. She was so caring and to see her crying just thinking back on the situation and for them all to be strangers on top of that. Why can’t people care like this for each other anymore. Ugh take me back lol
