Rescue Newborn Kitten Who Was Frozen Solid Grows Up To Be Strong And Feisty 

I fostered kittens for a friend who runs a no kill cat rescue, for about 2 years, until I realized I got so attached to the kittens I'd end up adopting them all. My deepest respect and admiration to all of you who do this, it's not an easy task!

Nine years ago, my brother took tennis at the school tennis court. In the corner of that court, there was a foam pile with lots of mewing. My brother's team found a newborn kitten and took it to the shelter. About an hour later, my sister and I begged my mom to let us go back and check for more kittens. If we hadn't went back, my cat Mackenroe {also spelled McEnroe} would have been dead. There could be a lost and homeless kitten anywhere, so always keep your eyes open. My kitten was most likely abandoned by her mom when the team made loud noises, so it's not always people who leave them. My sister and I had to bottle feed Mackie every two hours. We taught her how to walk, to use the litterbox on her own, and so much more. We took her with us to piano lessons and to temple. To summarize this, anyone is able to take care of a kitten in need if they set their heart out to it. Don't back away just because you have a busy schedule; find room. Without Mackie by my side, I would be completely lost.

They are so beautiful my sister and I we rescued two kittens abandon by their mom we waited and waited with her babies and never showed up so we decided to keep them my sister got the boy I got the girl went to petco and bought the syringe and fed this cute kittens they actually sleep in a lil box in our bed time flew fast "Fluffy" died 2018 and "Estrellita" died 2019....20 and 21 yrs of beautiful memories and pure joy we still missed them so much 😢...

What breaks my heart is the many tender souls never found, and just whittle away where they sat!

One winter day I went for a walk, something I was not used to, I remember that day was very cold and it had rained a lot. I was going back to my house, because I was tired and suddenly I heard a small sound coming from some bushes, when I approached, there was an open cardboard box with 3 newborn kittens inside. They were wet and they were crying a lot, they were cold, at that moment I felt very angry because I couldn't understand how someone could be so cruel. Without knowing what to do, my first reaction was to wrap them in my jacket and take them to my house. I was desperate because it was a Sunday and on Sundays, where I live, everything is closed, even vets. I began to investigate how I could feed them and I learned that they needed their mother's heat and to be feed often. Immediately I improvised a bottle with a syringe tube and a piece of soft rubber and I prepared a formula (milk) that veterinarians recommended on internet, also I filled small plastic bottles with hot water and wrapped them in rags and I put the kittens next to them so they could feel warm, with the exact temperature they needed. I thought it wouldn't work, that I wouldn't be able to help them, but I never gave up on them. I had to feed them every 2-3 hours, every day, it was exhausting because I could barely sleep. but let me tell you one thing, it was worth every second of my time, to see them grow, to see them happy and now they continue with me and they have already turned 7 years old.

You worked so hard to keep them alive - make sure they are protected forever. Make sure they are not locked up in an apartment all their lives and have a precious life with other cats.

I've worked in cat rescue for 15 years now, and years back, when I found a newborn kitten who was cold and seemed close to death, I raced it to the vet after putting it in my BRA to keep it warm. Worked well! : ) Needed hands free to drive, so it seemed like the best solution.

Thank you for rescuing and caring for these Lil kitties!! Without you they may have not made it. I rescued a feral kitten almost 2 Mos ago. She had some health issues but is doing well now. Precious Spud's ears wiggle when he feeds... Warms my heart & fills me with happy memories of rescuing baby kitties one of which was found in our old attic, within his first 24 hours, he found his way to the attic door where my room is - I was singing lullabies to my girls, & he must have wiggled all the way there so we could hear him sing-out like a birdie for help! At first we thought a bird got trapped in our attic! We took him in, & his cord was still attached, eyes tightly shut, but no momma in sight. We set a trap for her & put food out but no mama. 😟 Well, we raised him with our other precious kitties who we also rescued. Still loving every second we get to be their Mamas!!! We get a lot of abandoned newborn kittens around our tiny community... we live in a large valley 15 mins from other more populayed towns with all forms of wildlife adorning our hills, creeks & bay: cougars, fox, deer, coyotes, etc... So, if we can't rescue or see a mama in sight we will take them home for fear a coyote or snake or wild dogs or other things like the elements might take their lives! Thanks for sharing this video! 😭😭😭Oh this has my heart so full of emotions! Sadness because they didn’t get to know their mommy, and get to suckle, and bond, but sooo happy at the same time that they were rescued by these Angels🙏🏻 It makes me want to tell my story of how I found a small kitten one day when it was 102 degrees outside and I brought her in, fed her p, watered her and kept her in the entire day, until she wanted out. I just figured she would go home, but the next morning, I heard scratching at the door and she was crying to me because she was giving birth, and I was in shock because she was soo tiny...One unfortunately was stillborn 😞And the other made it to 5weeks...Nobody in the neighborhood claimed her, so I kept her...After losing her five week old daughter, I kept her and seeing her take the death of her baby so hard, so I waited to have her fixed so she could be a Mommy again..,But Could you believe she laid on her daughters grave everyday?! She did...😩it was sad...She would sleep with a little stuffed animal the same way she laid with her baby...It was heartbreaking...Well a couple months later, She was pregnant and I got her Vet check ups and she ended up having 4 babies, 3 girls and 1 boy...I KEPT THEM ALL!! She has been the greatest Mamma Cat ever!! So, I have a giant soft spot seeing this video and how they fostered these babies! Sorry for the long comment..I am all in my feelings right now, lol...sniff sniff😪😪

I've probably written this before, but there is a special place in Heaven for all people who do this for all cats, dogs, horses, etc. . Bless you all.

Oh, the tinyness & the snuggling under their stuffed toy 'Mom.' They're precious little munchkins. Kittens that young need a heat pad as they cant regulate their temperature & a real Mom would be warmth for them. ❤️

This reminds me of when I was taking care of my kittens, their mom was poisoned when they were a week old. I was so mad, then I was in Africa. I bought data connection went online to find how to help them. I boiled water and put in bottles, put them inside their box, line it up with towels put them in it to keep them warm. I mixed the milk I had, for the moment to feed them but that was not their formula. It was impossible getting their formula. I went to a vet nearby to ask for combination that would suit their formula. She gave me. I was to combine one raw egg, milk, vitamin b, and one other vitamin I can't remember. Thank God my mom owned a drug store so I was able to get those vitamins. The formula helped a lot but she told me it was only temporal. I fed them every hour or two with a syringe. I had a gas cooker in my room so I would worm their milk each time b4 feeding them. They picked up well but bc that formula was temporal they started to purge, I couldn't do anything, I couldn't find their kind of milk, there were no pet shops in my area. I had to start introducing them to food very early. Thank God two of them warmed up to food except one, that was the tiniest. I kept struggling till he too started eating. I bought canned sardines to entice them to eat, and I would bath them every week. Bathing them, I had to stroke their genitals with a warm towel so to help them pass out fesease and urine bc at that age they can't go to toilet on their own, that's why their moms licking is important, it stimulates them to pass out waste. It was quite an experience, challenging but rewarding. They survived and were my companion. I loved them so much

Fearless, my two year old cat was thrown out of a moving car , was caught in the wheel , threw in the air , fell back on its feet and was still alive. my grandson saw him , took him home , called me and i went to pick him up , brought him to the vet . he was ok. I brought him home and took care of him ever snce. I absolutely love this cat. it took awhile before he trusted me but now he is always close to me .. we never knew who thew him out of the car window but if i would have found out who it was , i would have reported them to the police.

I foster kittens myself and I have the greatest admiration for others that do, it's extremely time consuming and can get pricey too, but it's so rewarding. Please people, spay and neuter your neighborhood cats. TNR helps the cats so much.
