A core task for our partner organization BOS Foundation is - in cooperation with the authorities (BKSDA) - to save orangutans in distress. Adult orangutans are moved to safe forest areas, while small orphaned orangutans come to a rehabilitation center. This video was recorded in 2019 when little Niniek was rescued.

This little female orangutan is so fortunate to be rescued. She will have a chance to grow and learn the skills she needs to survive in the wild. I hope her cough was resolved. ❤
