@@kitkat2472 Yes. Getting a dog should be a great opportunity to learn to appreciate a nice long walk, and to stop and relax and breathe every once in a while. My dog is staring at me as if to say enough writing about it - time to go do it 😄
Our pup was a little Rat Terrier. She was also very sassy, vocal and a sunbather. I remember one summer day of plus 100° weather with her lying on the sidewalk and me sitting on our patio in amazement. (We lived near a forest where coyotes could possibly be and never let her out by herself.) After a bit she sat up, panted and gave me the look that said back into the air conditioning and into the house we went. She was the Princess in our domain and I sure miss her.
"I don't know how I've gone my whole life without Hattie." I relate to that statement, big time. "I don't know how I went my whole life without Ozzy and Trixie." We lost Ozzy 3 years ago, and Trixie last year. The years spent with them is worth all the pain from their loss.
Ha! That's how my pit is, if it even looks like it's raining he looks at me like I'm nuts turns around and goes back to the couch!! What a precious pup she is, rescues are these best 😊😊
What a fashionable little lady! Hattie has a better wardrobe than 99% of people out there 😂 I hope you know you’re a good Mama raising that sweet, silly, sassy girl. You’ve let her shine, and your love gives her the confidence to do that. I’m so happy that little lady is with such wonderful human parents 💕
So sweet, makes me miss my baby, her name was katie, she passed away 2 1/2 years ago. Im glad that you have your baby, they really are like part of the family.
I so much love when they get that offended dignity look on their sweet faces. "I did not ask for this. Why do you humiliate me so?" Just wanna hug that big baby.
Hattie is a little beauty and such a character. So glad she walked into her families lives and brought love, joy, happiness and many years of laughter. That's exactly what dogs do for humans, bring us unconditional love!! Thank you for loving sweet Hattie!! So many incredible dogs like Hattie at your local animal shelter. Don't buy from a breeder, Adopt don't shop!!
My dog does that too. He'd go into the backyard pick his spot on a nice warm day and lay there. He'd look at me like, 'Ma, I'll let you know when I'm ready to come back in.' 30 mins passes and all he did was move to a different spot.
The girl just likes the sunshine on that corner! Since she used to have rickets, the heat from the Sun above, and the asphalt below, probably feels soooooo good on her bones. Let the girl have her moment in the Sun!
Having had rickets it's likely she's still working on her nutrients. That's why she craves the sunshine. Nice to see such a happy doggo. Livin the dream! Lol
It doesn’t really work that way for dogs, they are very inefficient at converting uv to vitamin D. They are more likely to get skin damage from ultraviolet light then they are to get any beneficial amount of vitamin D.
Hattie is beautiful. I'm convinced these are breed specific traits for the most part. 😂 Sunbathing, aversion to bad weather, and always telling you how they feel! 💞
My Dog does the exact same thing. She gives me attitude when the weather is bad, but we have to walk. She loves to sun bathe though. I always say, if I didn’t make come in to drink water she’d stay outside all day. Hattie is so cute
OMG Hattie is adorable, the Queen for sure. I had a little 5-pound poodle that would lay down like that when "it was over" the Queen had decided. YOU are an angel to be so sweet about how funny and adorable Hattie is!!!
So sweet seeing everything about her but it cracked me up to see her sprinting around the yard. She seems so happy and content and you’re speaking each other’s body language etc very cool! Thanks for sharing
Such a beautiful girl. She looks alot like my Roxy. I rescued her from a shelter. Took her to the beach this weekend and to Lazydog restaurant for lunch.
It was great having my husband back after separation a year ago this have brought happiness in my life, this have always been what I have always wished for in my life and I got it so easy through the help of Dr Wilson the great spell caster
I wish Hattie was my baby pittie, just seeing her gives me a warm feeling of tranquility and I want to love her....My pittie died for two years ago and i can't describe the deep sadness I still feel, Love from Sweden
The big guy in my profile pic was part pittie and a rescue as well. Whoever says that dogs act entirely on instinct and can't feel love is completely clueless.
I love her sunbathing! She's so precious. I miss having a sassy pittyboo. I lost my girl a year ago she was 17 so this is the first time in over 20 years not having a pittyboo. Seeing Hattie reminded me how fun life was.
Appreciate you not always insisting on obedience. I realize there are times when you have to move her along, for her own safety, needs, and to proceed with your day; but there are also times when it’s good to just be in the moment and be in love.
What a darling baby girl! I lost my soul dog last year and I know how wonderful and special it is to have that once in a lifetime connection! Enjoy every day with Hattie 🥰
